Optoma HD28DSE

The Optoma HD28DSE 1080p home entertainment projector is small, light, inexpensive, and delivers reasonably good image quality for 2D and 3D.

Small and light. Full 1080p resolution in 2D and 3D. Two HDMI connectors, one with MHL. Built-in speaker.

Shows rainbow artifacts in video testing.

Conclusion If you want a projector that absolutely can't show rainbow artifacts, you'll need to consider a three-chip LCD model like the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 , our Editor's Choice moderately-priced 1080p 3D home entertainment projector. If...

Today I'm checking out the very first projector to include DarbeeVision processing. It's the Optoma HD28DSE, a compact DLP with 3000 lumens, 3D and a low purchase price.

Advanced video processing creates unheard of Full HD detail on this budget beamer

Is this the most detailed Full HD image from a budget projector? Absolutely. And that's all down to Darbee Visual Presence video processing tech, though this single-chip DLP beamer lacks the tools for an easy set-up.

Clear image, quiet operation, nice design. Inputs on the side are nice for shelf mounting or near wall applications.

A Worthy Projector

Great "bang for your buck" projector, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but the features set is apart from other's in it's price range.

Price - Mid range in price, there are many, more expensive projectors, but comparing this to my mother's 2,000$ projector, the difference is hardly noticeable. This is especially the case in a completely black room. I have such a room, and this...

No real direct cons, packaging, user friendliness, quality, are all great. Maybe with some more time, I'll come up with a flaw, but with the price range, Darbee Vision, and the build quality. No Cons as of yet.
