Best emergency crank radio

The crank-driven Eton FR160 radio can be a life saver in an emergency when power is out and batteries are either dead or nowhere to be found. Features are slim, but include the ability to receive both regular AM and FM broadcasts as well as...

Charges by crank or solar power, lightweight, compact, integrated flashlight, built-in phone charger

Doesn't meet Public Alert standards, lacks SAME technology, can't use standard batteries or electricity

Handy Gadget!

I purchased this for a camping trip. I love that it not only can be "cranked" for power, it also has the little solar panel on top. Flashlight is surprisingly bright for its size. Favorite feature? I had no problem charging my Kindle with the USB jack....

Not the same as the FR150

I left it in the window for two weeks, but when I tried to use it, it only worked for 3 minutes before it was dead. This leaves cranking the handle as the ONLY method of charging unless it is stored directly under a lamp or other light that is on every...

Good quality

Solar charging is not sufficient

Gotta Love This...

I got one for me and LOVE IT!. Then got one for each member of my family for Christmas and one for my car. I haven't yet had to crank it. I just keep it on my window sill and it stays powered up. It cranks easy. The volume is great, the channel choices...

This Thing is Definitely Worth the Money

The first reviewer is probably right about some of his criticisms, but it sounds like he needs to go buy a professional emergency radio.

I love this little radio!

It is smaller than I thought it would be when I ordered it, but I am not disappointed by that. It's the perfect size for what I want. The crank is easy to use and I know this radio/light will come in handy for many years.

Don't listen to the other guy

The other reviewer doesn't realize it's AN EMERGENCY radio, not a casual listen to music radio. This product is perfect for emergencies and the USB charging supplies + the solar power charging is great!

radio not worth the money

The radio has very poor reception basicly non-existant . Unless you are on top of the tower you cannot receive anything but static. Furthest statio I could receive was 5 miles away. When used in a vehicle with a electric or gas motor only static...

I really needed one of these for my emergency bug out kit. May not have much use for the AM/FM radio part if I'm up in the mountains but for all around need, this fit the bill nicely. The light is a bonus to get started during the night if the world...
