Does Exactly what it is Supposed To Do
Arrived promptly, intact and as expected. Works exactly as advertised. Distributing the 4 outputs from the DTV multi switch to the 6 I need.

not cascadable?
I do not know why you are saying the 6x8 is not cascadable! It is cascadable, is ports 1-4 for inputs 13v 18v, and 13v 22k 18v 22k. That is it. The 6x8 is one of the best switches Directv has ever used, if not the best, and is a very versatile switch
only 8 lines proper 12 lines cascaded

Surprisingly Short Life Update
An update in the name of fairness. NewEgg and Zinwell made it easy to find the U.S. rep for Zinwell and the exchange of the defective unit was easy and very quick. The replacement arrived within one week of mailing off the old one. The new one works...

Surprisingly Short Life
This is the same unit Direct TV installs for a lot more money. I was excited to find NewEgg has them at a really good price. But mine died in about four months. In two days I lost my HD channels and then all video. I am waiting to see if Zinwell will...
Worked great, while it was working. Easy to install and needs no external power supply
It is not cascadable, so if you ever need more than 8 outputs you'll have to replace it. But then howmany of us really need more than 8 TVs in one house?

Our home has a DirecTV AT9K high def dish. We have more than 4 receivers so this product enabled us to serve our current needs, and for future expansion. It is mounted inside the home. Good product!
The weatherproof characteristics of this product are questionable. The unit is "sealed" but humidity factors could cause moisture to develop and compromise functionality. It should be mounted out of the weather for best results.
