Canon imageFormula DR-2020U

The DR-2020U offers lots of impressive features, including reasonably fast scans in general and exceptionally fast scans to searchable PDF files, but two features in particular make it unusually capable for the price.

Extraordinarily fast text recognition. Duplex scanning (both sides at once). Flatbed and automatic document feeder

Clunky software installation. E-mail button doesn't work as expected

The Canon imageFormula DR-2020U more than makes up for a few shortcomings in its setup with an impressive collection of features and performance.

Do not buy this scanner!!

This scanner rarely works. It keeps thinking the "lock switch" is on, and won't scan. Canon sent me a replacement--exact same thing. Then they said it was a bad USB connection. I've tried replacing USB cables, putting a hub in the middle (with NOTHING...

Bought it at the end of Jan 2011 and I am on my third one now from Canon. The thing is a piece of junk. First one doc feeder wouldn't work after about a month of light use then the next two the lock switch kept causing problems. Now that I am trying to...
