Epson Expression 1680 Professional

This scanner is suitable for those who demand top-quality reflective and transparency scanning.

The Epson Expression 1680 Professional is well suited for corporate graphics customers and those who demand top-quality reflective and transparency scanning. However, if 1200 dpi will suffice, the Microtek ScanMaker 8700 is a worthy alternative that...

X-bit labs - EPSON F-3200 Film Scanner: Millennium Dome

According to the company's official press releases EPSON F-3200 Film Scanner is targeted for 'professionals and photo-enthusiasts'. We decided to take a closer look at the digitizing quality and performance of this device to see if it will please the...

It's nice to see such pretty and elegant machines as the F-3200. It's also nice to see EPSON being so meticulous when developing each new scanner model. And still, the EPSON F-3200 Film Scanner is not quite the device they wrote about in the official...

Epson F-3200

The F-3200 can do pretty much anything - scan multiple film formats, scan to memory cards and even scan reflective photo prints (6x4-inch originals or smaller).

Excellent quality scans, 35mm, 120/220, 6x9cm and 5x4-inch film scanning and 6x4-inch print scanning at up to 3200ppi optical resolution.

No scanning control when scanning directly to a memory card.

So the Epson F-3200 does what it does well, but I can't help wondering why the print scanning is included: the scanner falls between two stools. It's not going to appeal to, say, top professionals and it's too expensive at £549 to appeal to the...

Epson F-3200

Epson's F-3200 film scanner is a mid-priced model aimed to appeal to both keen amateurs and experienced pros by marrying ease of use with sophisticated features. Think of it as a photo lab in a box.

Expression 1680 Pro

The 1680 Pro is a good choice for graphic professionals who demand top-quality reflective and transparency scanning. The only disadvantage is the cost. At £859 plus VAT (or £649 without the transparency adaptor), this scanner costs several hundred...

Epson Expression: My "go-to" scanner on the job

I am a professional scanner. A "scanmaster" if you will... that is actually the production credit I receive in a magazine publication I scan for. So I've done quite a bit of scanning: paintings, b&w line art, color art, grayscale art, photographs, ...
