The Epson WorkForce Pro GT-S50 can scan both sides of a page simultaneously at a claimed 25 pages, or 50 images, per minute.
Fast scans. Duplex scanning (both sides at once). ISIS and Twain drivers let it work with virtually any scan program.
Scan utility is a little hard to learn how to customize. Business-card scanning is below par.

With respectable scan times, decent scan speeds, and the best looking color scans we've seen from a document scanner, the Workforce Pro GT S50 is one of the better document scanners available.
The accompanying EpsonScan software is easy to use and should be familiar to anyone who’s used a flatbed Epson scanner in the past. Its not flashy, but its functional, and I’ll take that any day

The accompanying EpsonScan software is easy to use and should be familiar to anyone who's used a flatbed Epson scanner in the past. Its not flashy, but its functional, and we'll take that any day.
With respectable scan times, flawless (if dated looking) software, decent scan speeds, and the best looking colour scans we’ve seen from a document scanner, the Epson Workforce Pro GT-S50 is one of the better document scanners available.

To scan multiple pages at once, a sheet-fed scanner may be a good option. We view Epson's GT-S50.
Duplex scanning; easy to use software
Sluggish scan times when using Adobe Acrobat
With respectable scan times, flawless software, and the best-looking colour scans we’ve seen from a document scanner, the Epson GT-S50 is one of the better document scanners currently available.

I am not an Epson rep and I'm not paid to write this review. I purchased this scanner based upon reviews and other sources. I chose the right one because it works just as it is advertised. I purchased so I could make digital copies of Eagle Scout...
This is one great scanner. I can't say anything more than that.
I haven't found a con.

Perhaps we got spoiled with the Canon M-160 scanners. They are fast and come with a very simple interface that the drones aren't confused by. Too bad they are a grand each... Played with Paperport, FineReader, VueScan and Scanitto; the concept that...
Decently made hardware. Feels fairly solid accept for the flimsy paper catch tray.
The epson software is junk. The interface is terrible and the codecs used for pdf generation produce huge file sizes relative to other programs (3 pages greyscale at 300dpi comes to 1.8Mb). The interface for naming files before scanning is buried deep...

Epson should send out a better software package so that users can enjoy this great scanner.
I love this scanner, it's fast and so far has not failed. I have a favorite magazine but I almost never read it because I prefer reading on my iPad. Now with this scanner I can scan in the magazine and transfer a PDF to my iPad and enjoy reading it...
The drivers for the scanner are fine but the software is lame, I tried the paperport software and was not impressed a bit. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro v9.0 that I have been using and it works great with this scanner
