Document Scanners Tame Paper Chaos

Models from Microtek and Fujitsu can turn piles of hard copy into convenient PDF files.

not that bad

the noise level isn't that bad. i thought it was comparable to your average scanner. I've never used this to scan text, but i can see the lines that can appear from the document feeder being a problem. i would recommend this if you plan on using it for...

scanning 30+ pages in under 5 minutes is a life saver. i use this for scanning art (animation frames) and doing 30+ pages on a flatbed would take well over 30 minutes

like others have said, the white "line" that appears when using the document feeder. not so much a line but more like a gap that runs the length of the page. also, this scanner is kind of bulky

Not recommended at all

Not a single paper jam.

Feeder cuts little notches from the top of the page.

SLOW AND NOISY SCANNER

Good is that it has PDF scanning and legal size flat bed.

I purchased Microtek Scan Maker 5950 1108-03-540027 2400 x 4800dpi 48bit USB 2.

Microtek ScanMaker 5900 IS SLOW

This is the slowest scanner I have ever seen. After my first attempt at installing the program, it seemed to load. I got it and installation was the worst experience I have ever had. Drivers would not load I kept getting an Error ...

Excellent Scan quality from all formats

So Slow. Unbelieable how slow it is

Microtek SCANMAKER 5900 Flatbed Scanner

This scanner is capable of good results for the low cost, but depending on your operating system you may have problems (I have). On my laptop with Windows 98, it works perfectly for the most part. On my desktop with XP, it works occasionally if at all....

Low price Okay results with 120 film

Driver/software issues Poor results with 35mm negatives
