The Canon imageFormula DR-C125 can scan to searchable PDF format as quickly as it scans to image format.
Duplex scanning. Extraordinarily fast text recognition for scanning to searchable PDF files.
Application programs don't install by default and are mostly old or light versions.

A single-pass, duplex sheetfeed scanner with a cunning way of reducing its desktop footprint. Is size everything, though?
Single-pass, duplex scans ; J-path compact paper feed ; Single-button quick scan
Fiddly feed tray extension ; Hard to select resolution in CaptureOnTouch ; Separate power supply
Sheetfeed scanners with duplex scan heads don't come cheap, and Canon's ImageFORMULA DR-C125 is no exception, but it does the business and builds in its J-path paperfeed, so providing a very small desktop footprint. Speed and scan quality aren't...

While the Ecopy is great, I kind of liked the earlier versions that were simpler.
Top of the line every day scanner for a small to mid size business. Had a similar Canon in my previous office and based on my experience with them I bought two for my new office. Neither have let me down so far. As for the software...the E-Copy alone...

Compared to the other document scanners we have in use, the DR-C125 is a solid performer with greater aesthetic appeal. We currently have a dozen or so in place, and shall continue to deploy the DR-C125 for as long as it is offered.
We definitely admire the small footprint this scanner has, the speed with which it scans, and the easy-to-use scanning features. Another plus, for our medical billing staff, is the ability to scan insurance cards with the flick of a lever. It does all...
None that we have noticed to date.

For us this is a great alternative to the Fujitsu fi-6140 that costs almost 3 times as much. We use the 6140 for heavy volumes and this one for light desktop use.

Comes with alot of software and is a great scanner under the $500 range! You people need to see that these come with Nuance Ecopy Pro Office Scan Software. The software alone is worth $200 for one license ! That is what you use to create and edit and...
Some learning curve to high tech Nuance ecopy software but worth it. More help in the box so consumers do not miss that software would be best. The other software can be lite versions or small apps

Good scanner but software makes it difficult to work quickly.
Scans fast. Option to direct output to your desk or not is nice
The OnScan software is terrible. Setup is tedious and options are named poorly so finding specific settings was difficult. Renaming a file on the fly is impossible. If you want the option to rename the file before saving, you have to go through a...
