Ring Video Doorbell 3 Review: Not much of an upgrade

While the Ring Video Doorbell 3 has a great app and some solid features, it isn't much of an upgrade for those with a second generation model.

Great two-way audio ; Fantastic app ; Easy to install ; Alexa compatible

Fish-eye distortion ; Doesn't work with Google Assistant

The new generation of Ring Video Doorbell doesn't feel like an upgrade

Ring Video Doorbell (2020) Review

Ring's latest smart doorbell, the $99.99 Video Doorbell 2020, is a refresh of the original that we reviewed back in 2015. This time around it offers 1080p video (the original was 720p), improved audio, and a few new features including People Only...

Affordable Sharp 1080p video Easy to install Wired or wireless Works with Alexa and IFTTT

Bulky Non-removable battery Subscription required to view recorded video Doesn't support Apple HomeKit or Google Assistant

The 2020 version of Ring’s Video Doorbell is affordable and easy to install, and it plays nice with other smart devices, but you’ll pay extra to view recorded video.

Ring Doorbell Review

Ring revolutionized the video doorbell market, and even today, it offers some of the best video doorbells around. That said, a lot of security camera brands have entered the business as well, so if you're looking for a sentry for your front door, you...

The most options of any video doorbell company Wide, 180-degree field of view Low-priced monitoring plan

No color night vision capabilities No local video storage options Person detection requires a subscription

Ring has the most video doorbells to choose from of any company we've reviewed. There are options for indoor use, outdoor use, and even peepholes for the apartment-dwellers out there.

Review: Ring Video Doorbell 3 | The Gatekeeper To Your Smart Home Ring Video Doorbell 3

With Ring Video Doorbell 3 you are always at home, and the mailman will never be able to lie again!

Easy to get started. Good sound and picture quality. Possibilities to adjust the motion sensor's sensitivity and privacy.

Does not work with Google Assistant or Apple HomeKit. Requires Ring Protect Plan to work optimally.

Ring’s latest video doorbell is perfect if you get unexpected guests or the postman comes by when you are not home. The video quality is good, and the surveillance can be combined with Ring’s other cameras.
