Schlage Sense

The Schlage Sense Bluetooth deadbolt lock lets you use your iPhone to lock and unlock your doors, program access codes, and set up access schedules.

Easy to install. Nicely designed app. Built-in tamper alarm. Siri voice control.

Pricey. Only works with iOS devices. Requires Apple TV for remote control.

Conclusions If you require a lock that works with Android and iOS devices, consider the August Smart Lock. It doesn't offer voice-activated commands, but it's a breeze to install and uses geofencing technology to lock and unlock your door depending on...

Schlage Sense Bluetooth Deadbolt review: A smart lock for the Apple smart home

The Schlage Sense Bluetooth Deadbolt is the first HomeKit-compatible smart lock. Here's our full review, straight from the CNET Smart Home.

Schlage's HomeKit deadbolt works very well within Apple's smart-home framework, and offers a simple, intuitive app that makes it easy to manage user codes. Voice-activated Siri controls worked like a charm when we tested them out.

You won't be able to access the lock from beyond the range of its Bluetooth radio unless you've got an Apple TV hooked up in your home, and the app doesn't dive as deep into HomeKit's standardized controls as others we've seen. The interior of the lock...

If you've committed to HomeKit for your smart-home setup (and if you own an Apple TV), then this is an easy lock to recommend, but keep in mind that other locks like it are compatible with more products and platforms.

Schlage Sense Bluetooth Deadbolt Satin Nickel

As the first HomeKit -compatible door lock (and still the only one, at least for now) Schlage looks to be in a pretty good position. With HomeKit, you can control your smart home gear using Siri commands -- that means that right now, Schlage's got the...

Schlage Sense smart deadbolt review: An excellent smart home addition

If you're looking to build up your smart home accessories, the Schlage Sense smart deadbolt just may be one of the products you need.

Great connected smart deadbolt, the app is simple and easy to use, build quality is great!

A bit on the pricey side, touchpad could use more tactile feedback, designed only for Apple's HomeKit.

This would be a great addition to someone’s home who is interested in converting their home into a smart home. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but there is a lot of value built into it. The downside is, Android users will be left out in the cold as this is for...

Review: Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt

I've lived in a more or less keyless world for years now. My Prius starts at the push of a button as long as the key fob is in my pocket. The front door

Schlage's new smart lock is Siri-powered

LAS VEGAS -- You can count Schlage among the bumper crop of smart-home brands making announcements involving Apple's HomeKit standard at CES 2015. The product: Schlage Sense, a newly announced Bluetooth deadbolt due out this summer.

Pricing hasn't been announced for Schlage Sense just yet, but Schlage tells me it'll land in the same ballpark as other smart locks currently on the market -- those retail for anywhere from $200 to $300 in the US.
