With surprisingly robust Dolby Atmos-compatible directional audio, Amazon's Echo Studio delivers just as much power as smart speakers that cost twice as much.

Excellent value for the size and power. Loud, clear sound. Compelling directional audio.

Requires Amazon Music HD to listen to fully 3D Ultra HD music.

Bottom Line: With surprisingly robust Dolby Atmos-compatible directional audio, Amazon's Echo Studio delivers just as much power as smart speakers that cost twice as much.

Amazon Echo Studio review: finally, an Echo that sounds great

The Studio is a great-sounding smart speaker that has some silly gimmicks you can thankfully ignore

Loud, spacious sound ; Supports a wide variety of streaming music services ; Doubles as a Dolby Atmos home theater system when paired with a Fire TV device ; All the stuff Alexa can do on every other Echo speaker

Bass could be tighter and more powerful ; 3D music is more of a demo and less of a reality right now ; Takes up more physical space than many other smart speakers

The Echo Studio is Amazon’s best-sounding Alexa smart speaker, and it out classes the Apple HomePod and others that cost a lot more, even if you ignore its 3D music gimmicks.

The more-expensive Google Home Max delivers higher fidelity, and Sonos has the better multi-room ecosystem, but Amazon's best Echo shouldn't be overlooked.

First smart speaker with 3D Audio – Amazon Echo Studio Review

Amazon Echo Studio Review – For a while now, fans of Amazon speaker products (like the Echo Dot or Echo ) were longing for something more, something that sounds better. Not that the Amazon Echo sounds bad, but it's just that the competition is high.

Amazon Echo Studio is definitely the best sounding smart speaker that Amazon can offer to date. It’s also aesthetically pleasing and modern which will suit any modern house and rooms.
