Micron P320h

PCIe is the future. I don't expect a smooth ride to get us there, but it's where solid state storage is headed - particularly in the enterprise market. The P320h is a good starting point, I'm eager to see where Micron takes it.

MiniPro 480GB External eSATA 6Gb/s + USB 3.0 Portable Solid State Hard Drive SSD

I bought this for work because we have large MATLAB models that take forever to load and compile. I even put the MATLAB install directory on it and MATLAB now opens within 10 seconds!! Connected to my Dell Latitude through the ESATA port. This saves me...

Corsair Force Series F40

To be honest, this is my first SSD ever. I have wanted one since their release, but they have always been out of my sensible price range. As of right now, they still are. The smaller drives, like the F40 seem like a teaser to me. They are right in a...

Crucial FCCT256M550SSD1

A slightly better product than the newer MX200. Definitely refurbished at the factory, not merely an open-box return. S.M.A.R.T. reports it has zero hours in use and was turned on 2 times before I got it.

Intel SSDSC2CT240A301

I would recommend this if you're looking for a cheap-ish 240gb SSD. It loads windows in seconds.

oyen digital Shadow Mini™ External 512GB USB 3.0 Portable Solid State Drive SSD

I love this drive! It is VERY fast at transferring data, and I don't have to worry about drops damaging the drive. However, I have noticed that if you leave it plugged in for a long period, the drive gets really hot.

Used in a new build where I tried for best value vs throwing money at highest end. Excellent performance for the price, no problems after 90 days of ownership, and very satisfied so far.

I have no previous experience with PNY SSDs, but the Newegg Shell Shocker price had me sold, figured I'd take the chance. This SSD replaced a Seagate Momentus ST9640320AS HDD in a Dell Inspiron N5010. I haven't bothered benchmarking at all, but I can...
