Consumer review (newegg.com)

pricey but with least firmware problem

have to wait to see long term performance on reliability and degradation.

1) in the range of second to intel's in terms of random writing ; 2) so far seems reliable ; 3) stutter issue could be minimized (if not eliminated) by registry tweak ; 4) decent speed

1) degradation as all MLC SSD does. GC feature only helps a little. expect to lose 30% writing speed after a few days/weeks ; 2) corsair has no R&D team for firmware development, only depends on samsung, weak

Second Generation Samsung MONSTER

Fast FAST drive. And I thought my Velociraptors in RAID0 were fast. ***One*** of these makes the Velociraptor stripe set's performance look sad by way of comparison. SSD storage is indeed the future, at least the future of boot volume storage. It's...

Unbelievable performance (so far) ; Did I mention it was fast ; Really fast ; Really, REALLY fast

Big question mark about long-term performance and the implementation of TRIM functionality ; Product longevity -- seem to be a lot of early RMAs on this one ; Price -- but if you're an early adopter, you don't care, do you

buy at your own risk

This item is great if you plan on not adding additional internal storage drive i.e. laptops that only have one slot for hd

It's fast

could not install another hard drive. If I do, it gives me BSOD

SSDs rock!

I have 4 of these in 1TB RAID0. While having an enterprise grade raid controller could have been nice. I decided not to get one. These drives work fast enough even in Intel Matrix raid. If wouldn't have used RAID at all if there was single 1TB SSD....

They are fast! And while sequential read speed is nice. Random access speed is much nicer. Win7 boots in 25 seconds. All programs start instantly

Buyer beware

I've been using this drive for about 3 months now, Installed Windows 7 RC, then Vista, then Vista again, then Windows 7 RTM. Each time, I would use about 110GB space on the drive. Now, when I run HDTune to test speeds, I'm down to 160 MB/s. So I did...

Blazing fast out of the box ; Not victim to stuttering like some SSD ; Good price in comparison to similar SSD

Did not achieve the full advertised 220 MB/s read out of box, was only 200 MB/s ; Victim to slowdowns after drive fills up ; Will degrade to ~160 MB read until Samsung comes out with firmware update to fix this

Awesome!

Buy one if you can afford it, it'll make my next one cheaper :)

Very very very fast. Everything from system boot times to application load times is almost instantaneous. This is the way that computers were meant to be! Installed Windows 7 RC1 on it, starts up in about 15 secs from me hitting the power button to me...

Not a con for the drive but this went into a T60p that's supposed to fully support the SATA2 spec, but it doesn't so I can't even get the full performance out of the drive

The Fastest drive in the world, a user real world experience

I just got this yesterday after a long weekend wait and let me tell you this thing rocks. And it rocks fast :). I am going to give you a review on a perspective of real world usages and not on benchmark with all the numbers, not yet anyways. I bought...

The fastest drive in the world. Cool to the touch, not heat. FAST FAST. screaming fast

Excellent product

This isn't really an issue but ... I've noticed that the drive ~does~ make some noise when the drive is being heavily accessed. Not noticable when installed in the laptop, but it can be heard if you connect the drive via USB cable. I thought an SSD was...

Incredibly fast. Boot time, app startup, shutdown - everything. Have not run into any stuttering problems ; Prior to installing this SSD I was using a Patriot v2 128GB SSD. It was a good drive but had some stuttering issues from time to time

Extremely Fast

This drive is waaay fast. Installed it on a new Aluminum Macbook with 0 problems. Everything runs better

High price. My expectations for performance will most likely change serving only to frustrate me with other computers

Super Fast, Better Battery Life - Revitalized my Laptop

Waited for a long time to find a high enough capacity SSD that had both performance, good reliability and compatibility. My laptop seems super fast now - apps open faster, windows boots faster and batter life extended by 20

Bit pricey but you get what you pay for
