Old laptop got a new lease on life

This drive shipped with a five year warranty when new. Big reason I picked it up when I did.

Shipped right away (awesome job Newegg!). Worked straight away with most up to date firmware installed. 100% drive life available Windows 10 installed without issue. 120gb usuable space after overprovisioning. Desktop loads in seconds now. Laptop runs...

Didn't ship with 9mm spacer. No complaints--it's a refurb. And I already had one. Just be aware of this that's all.

don't buy recertified drives.

i do not recommend a refurbished or recertified Solid state disk or hard disk to anyone ever. you might get lucky, but i would rather get one with more than a 30 day warranty. if that doesn't deter you, at least make sure you test it really well before...

i bought it a long while ago, it was a good deal, i had money to spend. so i tried it when i got it, and put it off to the side for months until i had a need for it. eventually tried to install an operating system on it and it failed. ran a few tests...

Lightweight, but failed

I'm probably just unlucky, because I've bought a lot of Corsair products recently (case, PSUs, water coolers) and they've all been good.

Lightweight, seemed fast

Read error, probably in boot sector, and the drive is totally unusable now. And there's no RMA available because it's refurbished and (just) past the 30 day mark.

Corsair CSSD-N128GB3/RF2

50cent per Gig SATA3 SSD goodness! This saturates my SATA2 interface, so I cannot quote benchmarks. The SMART info shows ZERO bad sectors, basically 0's across the board, like new. I think this may have simply been an open-box.
