G.Skill 64GB Falcon (FM-25S2S-64GBF1)

We've been seeing an influx in the number of SSD drives hitting the market but few have consistently provided steady performance over time. The introduction of the Indilinx controller and DRAM Cache sets high expectations on performance for the...

Eliminates stuttering from original JMicron MLC SSDs ; Performance increase on random read and write ; Lower price than competition for same drive ; TRIM command supported

Price per GB still high ; Little differentiation from competition

G.Skill has certainly impressed me with their latest offering. I’ve finished the benchmarking a few weeks ago and switched my laptop from the G.Skill FM-25S2S-64GB to the Falcon and have noticed and incredible boost in performance. Videos no longer...

Amazing

The Falcon SSD completely changes the Windows 7 experience. Worth the cost.

Wicked fast, no heat, no vibration, no noise

none that I can think of

A Big Upgrade

Can't wait for Windows 7.

It loads my games screamingly fast. It was as large of an upgrade as getting SLI

I honestly thought it would load Vista faster than 20 seconds

Great SSD

Fast, Fast, and once again, Fast. I installed Vista 64 on it and tweaked it. Worked great. Currently running Windows 7 with no changes or tweaks and the thing is great

Awesome

Everything is snappier. I can really see it

It works flawlessly in my acer 5735z. I clean installed this disk with win7 rc and did not have one problem. I am amazed how quickly the process took. Boots in less than 20 seconds with pentium 4200.Battery life is much better also. 3 hours up too 3 1/2

Price is still a premium

Fastest HD I have ever owned

This paired with a 1TB Caviar Black would be a mint setup. I am using it in a Mini ITX system paired with a 500GB Scorpio Blue, an E8600 @ 4GHz, 4GB G.Skill DDR2800, and a GTS 250. It's the size of a kleenex box and will smite anything in it's path....

Just to give you an idea of how quick these little babies really are, my E8600 OC'd to 4.0GHz scores a 7.0 on the Windows 7 experience index, and this drive scores a 7.4. Wow. I am aware that this is like comparing apples and pears, but I am used to...

GB, but as a system drive, it kills a Raptor in performance for about the same price

WORTH IT !

THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST SATISFYING UPGRADE - EVER. MY X48, DDR3, Q9650 SYSTEM WILL KEEP ME HAPPY FOR YEARS WITH THIS DRIVE. THE FALCON CURRENTLY USES THE BEST FIRMWARE OF THIS SSD BREED.

DOUBLE THE SPEED OF THE WD BLACK 640 THAT I REPLACED WITH THIS. BOOTS LIKE A RACEHORSE AND KEEPS GOING AT TOP SPEED ; THIS IS MAJOR UPGRADE. FORGET i7, GET ONE OF THESE AND ANY CPU WILL DO

CAPACITY VS COST

upgrade supreme

applications load in a flash!

after installing this on a 790FX system with an X4 955 cpu ; my overclocked X48-DDR3 system with a Q9650 cpu and a WD Black HDD feels very slow

Yeah they are all the cracked up to be

I was geeting terrible perf on 7 compared to vista. than i went and got the newest raid drivers online and fixed all that i had stutters on older drivers for x58 once i updated them that went away.

I have two of these in raid zero getting upwards of 450 mb read in had tune with 360 mb average easy to setup and boot time is fast it takes longer to go through bios than it does to load windows

price of course but couldnt wait any longer
