Failed again after RMA

I am not even going to check the warranty for another RMA at this point..

Pretty fast. 12 second boot times.

I owned for about 1 year before it began to freeze, reboot, and log disk errors in event viewer. Then it died completely. I RMA'ed it. I didn't trust the new one so I kept it in its original packaging on the shelf. Almost a year later, I put it in my...

Was great for the price... at first.

I was given the money to purchase this as a gift for myself for Christmas 2014. It lasted only 1 year before becoming non bootable. After researching the issue it appeared to be a well known issue with the sandforce controllers. All the positive...

Cheap Good value per GB Easy Setup

Not many features beyond TRIM support Rather slow compared to newer SSDs Died on me while I was involved in a project.

Works well for 1.5 year

Fast

-died after some light use for 1.5 yr -became gradually slow and unusable -realized other SSD brand actually boots faster after switching out

Died before a year.

I would not recommend buying this. It was very cheap but you do get what you pay for. . .

It was very good when it worked. Very quick.

Died before a year with very light use. Computer is off most of the time. I occasionally play games and would mostly stream. It only had the OS loaded on it.

short life-span

3 of the 4 of these drives that I purchased in 2013 had failed by January of 2016. Avoid this SSD...

One failure, replacement unit still alive

Two non-deluxe units degrading much faster than the deluxe unit, proof that there is a difference! In the real world, this is still a good drive for the $$ but if you are working with serious I/O-intensive workloads like virtualization or video...

Mushkin replaced my first defective unit without hassle. The drive is not the fastest, but it's a good value for the price.

First unit failed after 4 months. The SMART "SSD Life Remaining" value dropped from 100 to 70 in a few months, where my "Deluxe" 240GB Chronos is 17,000 hours old and is still at 98% life. Mushkin's replacement unit is still doing OK, but it is also...

Worked well, but only lasted a year.

compact and easy to install, quiet operation, and super fast. I would probably buy another but stick with a major brand.

I really liked this SSD hard drive but it didn't last long.

Expected longer life from a hard drive but sometimes they just fail. The one I replaced it with is from ADATA and has a 3 yr warranty with a cheaper price. $44.00.

Do any of these survive more than a week?

I can remember when Mushkin made the best memory modules on the market. Looks like that experience has failed to translated over to SSD's. My advice, even if Mushkin gives these away for the cost of shipping, go with a Samsung, Intel, or Crucial instead.

Maybe price, but if none of them work for more than a week, that's not much of a pro. Mushkin SSD's make great paperweights.

This was the second MKNSSDCR120GB-7 that succumbed to a very young death. First one died in the first week of use. It's replacement died even younger, after just a few hours of use. 0 for 2. Over the last four years, I have installed dozens of SSD's...
