Super Fast Response

I can't hear noise coming out of this. Very fast response time. You never need to defrag. Load everything very quick. SSD is the future

Capacity, could use little more

All it's cracked up to be......

Going to test this SSD for about another week, if my view of it stays the same I will be ordering 4 more of these for each of my practice manager's laptops.

I just put this drive in my Dell D820, and I have to say that it's definitely all it's cracked up to be. I started with a T550, 2gb memory and an 80 SATA hdd. Installed this SSD and 4gb of memory and was very very pleased with the results. It cut boot...

This SSD was a very tight fit in my existing hdd bay. Had to work at it a bit to get it to fit into the bay

WOW its fast

Cant wait to try out the Intel one also, but this Samsung is VERY nice. I have a pair speed striped RAID0 in a desktop and I have never seen anything like it. Keeps the i7 CPU busy thats for sure. ;)

Unbelieveable. I was an SSD deny-er until I tried this particular drive

will be even better when the price drops more

finally a SSD that delivers!

Previously had a 1st gen samsung SSD which was kinda slowish (in comparison) and a competitor's SSD that had a large mail in rebate. The competitor's unimpressive drive died on me about a week into use. I replaced it with this Samsung and haven't...

Fast. Read AND write. No stuttering. No dying drives. quiet (mine doesn't seem to suffer from the 'squealing' reported by some)

None to speak of

Best 32GB SATA SLC bang for your buck

I don't have the time to send back this unit since I didn't get the correct specs. I understand that even at a slower speed than spec I still get the fastest SLC Sata 2 SSD for the price ($299). Darn should have waited a month. Now its at $259. 64GB...

Price compared to other SLC drives

I only get about 80MB/s read. I don't have the software to test the write speeds but im guessing its less than the specs indicate.

No problems

No problems yet... nice and fast Vista shows this drive as 5.9 in the "Disk data transfer rate" category (which is the highest)

Expensive... other manufactures are offering lower prices

Owns Velociraptors

Returned 3 velociraptors for this. Will never look back at old fashioned plater drives.

If you want real world performance go SSD. If you want your drive to have a cool name go with the velociraptor. Which is somewhat fitting, since one is extinct and the other is certainly going to be extinct technology.

Price per gb.

Non pareil (top gun)

I alloted 25gb to Windows XP and 6gb to Windows 2000 (I dual boot in case WinXP conks out; I boot to W2k to fix XP. And I put all my programs and data on a second 300gb Western Digital Velociraptor drive I also purchased from Newegg. The overall speed...

1. Quiet (near silent, barely audible noise sometimes ; don't know why since no moving parts)

Expensive. But cheaper drives, like the OCZ Core Series, don't seem to have their firmware just right yet given all of the complaints by reviewers

SAMSUNG MCBQE32G5MPP-0VA00 2.5" 32GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - OEM

samsung ssd in use in my htpc and it is blazing fast (sometimes to fast i cant see the pop ups)

i never would have figured this thing is as fast as it is....i am now converting all my pc's to ssd ... faster than the raptor i have

expensive... no 3.5 desktop drives but with adapters will work fine.. makes the drive 20 bucks more expensive when to adding this to a desktop

RAID0 with SSDs...

to the guy above that has two of these in raid0 and is buying two more... on your average drive the latency is much higher (so adding a little more latency doesnt hurt much), and the increase in bandwidth more easily offsets the increase in latency....

low latency

price, lowerish bandwidth
