Made in USA"?

I purchased this drive to cut down on noise and heat generation, with faster read/write/access speeds being a secondary concern, which it does very well. It's not even marketed to be the top-of-the-line, so any shortcomings there should be expected....

Drive offers solid performance over a traditional HDD...installed Win7 x64 in under 15 mins to it; takes about 20 seconds to boot up (not counting BIOS POST). Nice looking steel cover, runs cool, very light and small

Small capacity, doesn't come with 2.5"-to-3.5" adapter. I managed to get one screw hole to line up, which should be fine... the entire unit weighs maybe 2-3 ounces. Definitely not the bleeding edge of performance if that's what you are in to

Great Boot drive for Windows 7 Professional x64. Boot time is quick and programs open incredibly fast. An SSD is the best upgrade you can make to improve speeds on everyday tasks. Good price/GB. Excellent Speeds, stats below as recorded by PC Wizard...

I have no complaints about this drive, integrates with Windows 7 just as well as a standard HDD thanks to TRIM

another awesome value

Used ATTO ver 2.46 maxed drive perf write 95847 bytes/sec write read 130745 bytes/sec

Mighty fine upgrade from the sluggish 5400 rpm drive that was previously in my laptop. XP loads in about 8 seconds now. I'm EXTREMELY satisfied. Fair price for great performance

I didn't get the advertised speeds but I'm assuming it may have to deal with this older laptop

Let Down

It was great when it worked, running it in a case with tons airflow. The ambient temp in the case is about 40 degrees C.

Runs fast ; No heat or noise ; Fantastic in raid 0

The sucker died on me in 2 weeks

Pretty good drive -

Laptop is an older HP nc6230, something like that.

Using this as a primary drive in a laptop with Windows 7. Haven't had any problems yet. Boot time is pretty fast

None, other than price. But this is to be expected with new technology

Great SSD

I reccomend these drives to the majority of my clients that are interested in SSD technology. Typically I only use WD PATA/SATA drives, so when WD released their new SiliconEdge line, which was more affordable than their first SiliconDrive line, I was...

Final note on SSD stuttering

As we've all come to expect, Newegg service is best of breed. Hats off to you Sirs for maintaining such a tight ship; excellent work you should feel really good about.

Good speed. Easy installation. One final note on the system stuttering which often occurs when your OS is installed on a solid state drive: the problem was that the machine would freeze for 2 to 7 seconds several times per day. I decided to take a risk...

I apologize for my three reviews on this subject; one should not treat this as a listserve group, but, for the sake of the product and in the interest of those interested in it, I felt compelled to share my experience. These are good products and...
