What's that, an alien egg? Nope. Memory foam iPillow? No, silly, it's a Zeppelin, a Zeppelin Air more specifically. Bowers & Wilkins brought us the f...

The Zeppelin speaker from Bowers & Wilkins has been an icon since the days of 30-pin iPhone docks, and its latest iteration sounds better than ever. It looks better than ever, too, with a base that makes the speaker appear as if it's floating. And the...
It looks better than ever, too, with a base that makes the speaker appear as if it's floating. And the dock is gone in favor of pure wireless connectivity via Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth.

2021 marks fifteen years since the debut of the original Zeppelin speaker, which was essentially a giant iPod dock, but boy did it sound good. Bowers & Wilkins has released a number of new Zeppelins since then, retaining the iconic design while...
Powerful audio performance with rich bass and detailed highs Stylish, iconic design App includes adjustable bass and treble settings Built-in Amazon Alexa voice control
Stereo separation could be more pronounced Expensive Digital signal processing isn't for purists
The 2021 model of the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker delivers wonderful, high-fidelity wireless audio from a strikingly designed enclosure, with built-in support for Amazon's Alexa voice assistant.

With a stunning, iconic design and a price to match, Bowers & Wilkins' Zeppelin Wireless speaker delivers superb streaming audio via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Top-notch audio performance with deep, rich bass response and crystal clear, bright highs. Streams wirelessly via AirPlay, Bluetooth, or Spotify Connect.
Digital signal processing may irk purists. Very expensive. Light on accessories.
Performance and Conclusions On tracks with powerful sub-bass content, like The Knife's "Silent Shout," the Zeppelin Wireless delivers robust, powerful bass response. At top volumes, the DSP kicks in and the effect on the bass is but noticeable—at...

The next-generation Zeppelin speaker features both Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth wireless connectivity in a redesigned package that delivers better sound -- but costs $700.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin
Seriously sleek, high-end iPod stereo speaker; three-way stereo system with two 1-inch tweeters, two 3.5-inch midrange drivers and one 5-inch woofer; 100 watts of power; mirror-polished stainless steel cabinet with black cloth grille; matching remote...
Very expensive; sounds better on acoustic music than bass-heavy genres such as rock and hip-hop; rubberized mounting stand seems better-suited to a cheaper product; light on features.
The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin effectively combines substantial build quality and detailed sound--but you're still paying a hefty premium for the iPod speaker's stunning good looks.

B&W's design piece sounds great, but don't expect any special features.
Excellent sound. Exotic design. Video-out for iPod-to-TV. USB connection to perform software updates. Rubber mount to change speaker angle.
Limited remote. Takes up a lot of space. Expensive for a featureless dock.

people will see, however, is the Zeppelin's graceful design, from the metallic arm that docks the iPod and puts it on display (Apple iPods, we forget, are design pieces in their own right) to the bizarre body that seems impossibly balanced. I have to...

The Zeppelin iPod dock costs a ton because of its graceful design and excellent sound, but don't expect any fancy functions such as a FM radio, alarm, or even useful iPod navigation on the remote.

The Zeppelin Wireless Speaker by Bowers and Wilkins is an all-wireless design boasting both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. It provides deep rich sound in a relatively small, yet interesting package.
Precise room filling sound ; Bright natural sound with excellent bass ; Excellent aesthetics ; AirPlay streaming and Spotify Connect ; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ; Very easy to setup
Comparatively expensive ; Requires proper placement for maximum sound quality
While placement was a bit finicky with this speaker, the Zeppelin Air sounded phenomenal. However, the user can run into some issues when switching between sources on the Zeppelin. Switching between Bluetooth devices creates a recurring problem: In...

B&W's Zeppelin speaker system for iPod looks more like a piece of modern art than a set of speakers. Then again, it looks more like a black and chrome version of the Hindenburg than modern art. So
Tight, punchy bass ; Crisp, detailed highs ; Sleek styling
Funky remote ; Expensive (you get what you pay for)
Without a doubt, this is the best speaker system for iPod I have had the pleasure of listening to. It is very hard for me to find much to complain about in the system. The remote is a bit awkward feeling in my hand - the buttons are very small and...
