Boston Acoustics Horizon MCS 130 review: Boston Acoustics Horizon MCS 130

Boston Acoustics Horizon MCS 130

Distinctively styled 5.1 surround speaker system; 200 watt, 10-inch powered subwoofer; relatively compact size; optional grilles available in eight colors.

Subwoofer looks like an overturned wastebasket; the recessed connectors are somewhat difficult to access.

If you like the swappable speaker grilles--and can find the system at a discount--the Boston Acoustics MCS 130 is a worthy surround speaker package.

Boston Acoustics MCS 130

The odd shape of the speakers and sub helps eliminate the build-up of standing waves inside the cabinets and it also gives them a distinctive look. The wonderfully tactile rubberized finish adds to their appeal and you can even buy different coloured...

A highly flexible package with forward sound that suits movies

Brash with music and edgy at full volume

Great Speakers, [...]

I added these to my existing system. I had upgraded to a 7.1 system and needed 2 additional speakers. These are the perfect addition to my other Boston Acoustics Speakers.
