They sound okay. With 1 12 inch sub in my trunk the tweeters in the center of the speaker vibrated loose and made an awful racket while the speakers played.

The arrow on the volume dial is off center.. might be just mine though. Basically my lowest volume setting is about 90 degrees below the line for the lowest. I don't think you will use that to tell volume... I just play music and adjust to the volume...
