Energy ESW-M6 Powered Subwoofer Reviewed

Tracy Rainwater came away impressed by the ESW-M6, stating it "provides quite a bit of value for its relatively affordable price...It not only delivers a surprising punch and weight, but also a level of refinement and versatility." Because of its small...

The ESW-M6 provides a very high level performance for such a compact design, offering an appealing combination of depth, punch, and speed that never seemed out of place with movies, games, or music ; The ESW-M6 sounds terrific with smaller main...

The ESW-M6 needed more extension and slam on movies as well as rock and electronic music, and sounded a little slow on large scale classical material ; The ESW-M6 only comes in high-gloss piano Black

The ESW-M6 provides quite a bit of value for its relatively affordable price. For its really compact size, it not only delivers surprising punch and weight, but also a level of refinement and versatility. It doesn't spin out of control or allow its...

Died After Occasional, Gentle Use

I used the Klipsch Energy ESW-M6 800 Watt Mini Subwoofer in a spare bedroom for an occasional, gentle music background for house guests staying over. The subwoofer may have been used about 20 times in its lifetime, attached to Marantz amplifier and...

Good sound for smaller rooms

It died after gentle, occasional use.

Great Small Sub

This little sub is a fantastic buy if you are realistic. It makes my office system KICK serious b*tt. I realize it wouldn't be the sub to use for a home system. I have it paired with 2 NHT Super Zero 2.0's and man does it sound great!! I'm using a...

Small size(it is a great space saver), high power, stylish, lots of options for inputs, good controls.

Small subwoofer can't go seriously low (like my 15" Velodyne) but this is used for an office.

Energy ESW-M6

Incredibly small and relatively light sub helps with wife factor. Other energy sub was too big for family room so moving that one down to home theater. No longer looks ridiculous but still fills in lows decently for day to day viewing.

Not nearly as full sounding as old huge energy sub. Cost much more than the bigger better subs. I would buy a cheaper larger sub if you can find room for it. But this is better than nothing.

Great if you use it right

Great tiny musical sub. Not good for home theater. All cons listed this far in reviews are only because of a lack of understanding of the design and capabilities.

I have both the 8" & 6.5" versions. Both offer excellent bass output for their size. Output is very musical and capable of reproducing fast beats accurately. Anyone that expects this to be on par with a standard large ported sub will be disappointed....

None if you understand its limitations

Terrific Sub

give the sub a proper break-in period to truly experience its capabilities. Buy it, you won't regret it. For the price, an excellent value.

Extremely small size, can adjust the volume, phase, etc. This is a tiny sub but very powerful, relative to the room you are trying to fill and the content you are playing. I have a 20x20 living room that open into a 20x20 dining room, however, this sub...

Great Product!

The problem is it dose not offer enough power for those looking for a movie watching experience and Energy, Mirage and their parent company Klipsch offer much better subwoofer than this little guy for home theater systems.

Small package, Great sound!

I bought this sub for my 2.1 component system and I love the detail this little box provides. I live in an apartment and size was a big deciding factor in my system. With two bookshelf speakers and this subwoofer, listening to music is absolutely epic!...
