Unique styling. Extended high end and pleasant-sounding midrange. Touch-sensitive volume/mute controls.

Not a wall-shaker. Bass gets muddy at higher volumes.

The Encounter isn't the most accurate system in its price range, but it sure looks cool on the desktop and has no major sonic flaws at moderate output levels.
