The JBL Flip 5 speaker delivers a strong Bluetooth audio experience in an outdoor-friendly design you can customize to your liking.
Expert review by : David Carnoy (cnet.com)
The Flip's decent performance and attractive design make it a worthy Bluetooth speaker contender at $100.
The affordable ; is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker that is designed to be used horizontally or vertically. It sounds good and plays loudly for its size, has speakerphone capabilities, and ships with a neoprene carrying case.
The unit is powered by a generic, somewhat bulky AC adapter instead of USB, and the 5-hour battery life is only OK. It doesn't handle bass-heavy material incredibly well.
The JBL Flip's decent performance and attractive design make it a worthy Bluetooth speaker contender at $100.

At this price, it sits between the Jawbone Jambox , the Beats Pill , and several other contenders in the $150-$200 price range, and smaller speakers such as JBL's Micro and Philips' grenade-shaped SoundShooter SBT30ORG/37 , which costs $50 and also has...

The JBL Flip is, almost unquestionably, the king of the hill for small portable Bluetooth speakers right now. While its battery life and proprietary charger do make it a bit less portable than some of its rivals, it easily makes up for such...

The reason why I purchased this speaker was for the sound quality. I mean, I have heard a lot about the Jambox, and it's features, but that unit is out of my budget. I haven't heard a Jambox in real life, other than those demos at the stores, but the...

I have loved using the JBL Flip with my iPad. My kids often crawl in my bed to watch a movie on the iPad together, but everyone is always complaining that they can't hear. They were so excited when I pulled out the JBL Flip. The sound was incredibly...

Overall, I did enjoy the Flip and had the chance to pit it against the Zooka. Both speakers rock, but the Zooka edges it out in size, portability and sound. They cost the same price, but the Zooka may not be able at local retailers.
