Review summary

Outlaw Audio LFM-1

Room-shaking bass for home theater and music; 12-inch woofer; 325-watt digital amplifier; black-satin finish and a smoked-Plexiglas top panel.

Not a great match for really tiny satellites.

The LFM-1 is simply the biggest, baddest, and best-performing midpriced subwoofer we've ever heard.

Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX Subwoofer Review

The Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX is a moderately large 12” ported powered subwoofer with a built in 350 watt rated amplifier. Based on our extensive testing, the LFM-1 EX proved to be an overachiever at its mere $650 price tag. We did find the sub to be...

Overall measured performance ; Huge bang for the buck ; Real 20Hz output

In higher pile carpet the sub may sit a bit low ; Occasional ultra-low

Nobody should live without a "point 1" in their life and, at $600, Outlaw truly (and literally) delivers ; The sonics of this woofer are off-the-charts for the money ; The fit and finish is nicer than you might expect from an affordable subwoofer ; For...

The biggest bang for the buck in subwoofers might just be the Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX. For the money, it's just hard to make an argument about how you can beat the performance for the price. While not dressed to kill like woofers costing twice (or...

Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX Subwoofer Reviewed

Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Subwoofer (LFM1)

Low low bass for a low low price... The Outlaw LFM1 moves some serious air without requiring a second mortgage.

Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Subwoofer

When auditioning the Outlaw Audio LFM-1, I was continually impressed by its performance. The most amazing thing was that it hit high sound-pressure levels without audible port noise, which is usually where I hear performance deficiencies at or near...
