Razer Nommo Pro speakers review: versatility comes at a price

THX, Dolby, and stereo all in one pricey package

The 2.1 sound is loud, deep, and rich ; Knob is satisfying to use ; Has a variety of inputs ; Can be used in Dolby, THX, and stereo modes

Controlling volume a chore ; Doesn’t have advanced Chroma effects ; Not ideal for studio production

THX, Dolby, and stereo all in one pricey package. That’s what you’ll get by paying $499 for the Razer Nommo Pro. It’s the gaming hardware company’s best speaker setup thus far. The 2.1 setup is THX-certified, supports Dolby Virtual sound, and has a...

Razer Nommo Pro

Razer's Nommo Pro desktop speaker system features attractive satellites with programmable, colored lighting, and a powerful subwoofer to give PC gamers booming sound.

Powerful, bass-heavy sound. Crisp, clean music performance.

Relatively expensive for desktop speakers. THX and Dolby sound modes tend to focus a bit too much on sub-bass.

Bottom Line: Razer's Nommo Pro desktop speaker system features attractive satellites with programmable, colored lighting, and a powerful subwoofer to give PC gamers booming sound.

Robust sound ; Four simultaneous sources ; Customizable software

Expensive ; Short cables ; Lackluster lighting

The Razer Nommo Pro is a gorgeous, robust gaming speaker set, with a few colorful flourishes — and a high price.

Razer Nommo Pro review

Aural power at your fingertips

Excellent sound quality ; Wide soundstage ; Software AND mobile accessibility

Base not as punchy ; Analog sound is a little compressed ; Pricey for non-audiophiles

With the Nommo Pro, Razer touts gaming speakers that are fine tuned for the ultimate sound. We can honestly say that they’ve done a mighty fine job. This THX-certified 2.1 sound system offers a lot of power and rumble alongside a near audiophile-level...

Razer Nommo Pro 2.1 Speakers Review

Back in June we took a look at Razer's first set of desktop speakers - the Nommo Chroma. The 2.1 spe It's a HUGE 2.1 speaker system from Razer – priced at £499

Clean and clear sound – once THX mode has been disabled, that is!

Turing bass boost down is required to prevent the bass sounding loose and bloated.

While I’d advise you to tune the bass boost down a fair whack, the Nommo Pro provides a very clear listening experience that is really quite enjoyable.
