Samsung's soundbar division does it again: the HW-Q80R delivers a magnificently muscular performance

Forceful, dynamic and detailed sound ; Superb overall balance ; Adaptive Sound works well

No rear speakers ; Pricey

For £899, the Samsung HW-Q80R is pricey, especially considering it doesn’t come with rear speakers as standard. Despite that, the sheer quality of the sound it produces – its solidity, scale and detail – means it justifies that price effortlessly.

Samsung Q80 - wow!

This beast can shake the foundations with super low and accurate bass, complimented by top sound all the way up the frequencies. Great surround effect too. With new Q70 TV it's ;like being at the cinema. Great service from the Toon team at Newcastle

Excellent sound quality and very neat

We added this to our Samsung 'The Frame' TV. The TV's in built seakers are fine, but the addtional of a sound bar and sub-wooker gives a real feeling of immersion with films that TV speakers just can't provide.
