Distortion

Don't bother.

Looks nice and very compact

I agree with morgan. Distortion at higher levels. I am running a Yamaha HTR-6160 with 90-110 watts per channel and at moderate volumes, this speaker tends to distort terribly. I believe it may be due to the low sensitivity rating "86 db" at 1 meter. I...

Disappointed

I bought this to replace a larger speaker which I no longer have space for. I recently replaced my ten year old trinitron with a shiny new Samsung LN46a650 and a wife approved entertainment center which does not have space for a center channel speaker....

Small and seems well constructed.

Sounds terrible. Sound also does not blend well with my other speakers. Adding this speaker to my system actually makes it sound worse than just down mixing the center channel to the left and right speakers. My main speakers are Infinity RS3 bookshelf...

Nice Speaker

Please keep in mind that a target sensitivity rating should be 90db or higher. The lower the sensitivity rating, the more power it takes your amp to drive the speakers. Range doesn't matter as much unless you are looking for bass. However ... it's a...

Nice range. Very Clear Speaker. This IMHO is probably the best speaker you can buy in this price range. The size fits below my mounted Samsung LN46A650 perfectly. It is very thin and compliments my mantle very well.

The sensitivity is pretty low which is what explains the earlier review complains about not having enough power. But for under 150 dollars I can not give it a below 5 star rating.

This speaker is awesome!

I have an RX-V1800 pushing 130w/ch into my 7.1 set up. I was using a Polk Audio center speaker that my son put a tou thru and am very happy that happened. The Yammie creates voices and effects better then the Polk and cost a few hundred less. Yamaha...

Hi's and low's extremely clear as with all Yamaha speakers, the frequency response is perfect for the center channel. This speaker rivals ones that cost $1000

Wish the color of the grill was darker but that's about it

A Nice Addition

Awesome price for a high quality center channell.

Crisp, clean sound. I wanted to improve the vocals for DVDs and this was accomplished with this speaker

Great Sound from such small speakers

Having Infinity Gold speakers on another system, I can say this small Yamaha gives sound clarity on par with speakers twice its price.

I needed a thin center channel for fitting into a pre-built unit, and the one I already had was 1/2 inch too large. Having used Yamaha audio equipment before, I wanted to stick with the quality products. The speaker gives out extremely crisp voice and...

Yamaha doesn't make a receiver that fits in the same area?

Great sound, without breaking the bank

Since I wasnt going to spend $1000 buying individual speakers, I added this to my LG home theater in a box system I purchased 3 months ago. This was a great buy. Most center channels run well into the $200's. This was worth every bit of the nice new...

I have what I would consider a nice LG surround system, and this was my first and probably only upgrade. After this upgrade, I can see why they say the center channel is most important. What a difference. Great sound, even some nice lows. What a...

I cant think of any, had great sound, even when cranked up.

good center channel

This is a great center channel for the money. The clarity of the speach in films is vastly better than I had before with no center channel. There is very little disortion at high volume which is always something that annoys me

I wish that the speaker could be a bit more powerful. I am powering it with a Denon AVR-1601, which gives it plenty of power but it still lacks a bit. Doesn't sound bad, and sound is good for such a small unit but could still be a bit more dynamic

Excellent

excellent speaker...Center channel speakers are something you should skimp on when it comes to good sounding home theater. I have this with 2 NS-777's and it keeps up with them every step of the way (when watching movies. (if I use the center for music...

Excellent sound from such a small speaker...even throws out some decent bass for its size of woofers. I have 125 Watts into the center channel and I can crank it and hear next to NO distortion...that is very good for any speaker this size

mounting this to wall his difficult if you don't have a stud in the exact right spot. This will not hang with just a screw into dry wall. Obvious but my other center channel did this with no issues. Wouldn't call this a con really but figured I should...

Great Center speaker

Got a great from New Egg when they had this at $ 30 off the normal price.

Small size , crisp clear sound. Great for vocals.

Front grill is held on by magnets , however it does stay on.
