Acer Aspire Switch 10 E (SW3-013-11N8)

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 E is a detachable-hybrid tablet that offers versatility, ample storage, and more than 13 hours of battery life at a very affordable price.

More than 13 hours of battery life in testing. Bright In-Plane Switching (IPS) screen with wide viewing angles. Included keyboard also adds hard drive storage. Solid connectivity. Dual-band Wi-Fi.

Top-heavy design. No USB 3.0 ports. Micro-HDMI port requires adapter. 32-bit OS. Some bloatware.

Conclusion With its long-lasting battery power, more storage than its rivals, and the extra versatility you get with a keyboard dock, the Acer Aspire Switch 10 E a winning entry-level tablet. We gave the Asus Transformer Book T100TA a slightly higher...

Acer Aspire Switch 10

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 is a detachable Windows tablet that offers a mix of new and exciting features, and while it's not perfect, it's worth a look for its flexibility.

In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3. Multiple-position dock allows four different use modes. Comes with free activation code for Microsoft Office.

Short battery life. Top-heavy design.

Conclusion With the Aspire Switch 10, Acer has introduced a fine detachable tablet, making it a safe purchase for anyone in the market for a portable Windows tablet without giving up the productive capability of a clamshell design. The Asus Transformer...

A unique hybrid with less hassle

The magnetic connection on the Acer Aspire Switch 10 makes it easier to use than other hybrids.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 has a hybrid mechanism that actually works, and it has a decent keyboard and touchpad for such a small body.

The component-filled top half makes the system top heavy and prone to tipping over backwards. Performance feels sluggish for all-day use, and the default 32GB SSD will be too small for many.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 is a budget hybrid that skips the more-common fold-back or button-clasp hinges and instead attaches its screen via a magnetic connection. It shares the same hardware limitations as other small hybrids, but can be easier to use.

Acer Switch 10

Acer says its Switch 10 hybrid is especially flexible and built to work in four distinct modes. That may be a somewhat generous description, but it's similar to what other detachable or Yoga-style hybrids can do. There's the traditional clamshell mode,...

Acer Switch 10 review: Right idea, wrong execution

Acer's Switch 10 convertible truly has a split personality. Its button-free release mechanism is a great idea, but the rest of the device doesn't match up as well.

Easy-to-detach display ; Keyboard faces back of display in tablet mode; faces up in presentation mode

Lots of bezel surrounding the display ; Stiff keyboard keys ; Mediocre battery life

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 is a novel take on the 2-in-1 notebook/tablet hybrid, but both the tablet and the keyboard halves of the equation are mediocre, and the tablet's battery life is too short.

Two Cool

I don't know if anybody is actually buying these things, but Little Windows Tablets are proving themselves to be quite the capable category of on-the-go productivity devices. Available for just a few hundred bucks, they're rapidly becoming the netbooks...

Solid price point and feature set on a capable Windows tablet. Keyboard attachment and release system is best-in-class. Great portability

Would like to see a higher-resolution display. No rear-facing camera included; selfies only. With weight predominantly in the slate, design becomes top-heavy and prone to tipping over backwards when working in “laptop” mode

Three things to know about the Acer Aspire Switch 10 Special

Acer Aspire Switch 10 Full HD Convertible Review Update

Brillant. Acer's smallest convertible is now available with a Full-HD display. The price difference is only 30 Euro (~$37) and seems to be well worth it. But is the battery life is shorter than before and how fast is the new CPU? In our review, we try...

good ergonomics for this type of device (keyboard, trackpad, display), good multi-mode design with a solid hinge, vivid, bright FHD panel, nice quality speakers, price

plastic used for the chassis feels a little cheap

Acer Aspire Switch 10 review: 2-in-1 utility with a tablet price tag

The 2-in-1 isn't a new platform, but it is a questionable one. Do you need a computer that snaps off into a tablet? The genre has its use cases, and Acer hopes to make a strong entry into the forum with their Aspire 10, a tablet-cum-computer offering...

With the Switch 10, you have a series of choices to make. If you want a tablet/keyboard combo that go together naturally, here you go. The Switch 10 basically amounts to a netbook that can have its screen slipped off and used as a tablet. If you want...
