The Amazon Kindle Scribe for 2024 is a fine ebook reader with more note-taking features than its predecessor, but its new annotation system isn't a big improvement and doesn't offset the price increase.

The base model Kindle is the most effective and value-packed out of the lineup, and it's on sale ahead of Black Friday for $85.
If you haven't purchased an e-reader before or are contemplating buying one for a loved one over the holidays, I'd without a doubt recommend this Kindle . It has all the features you'd need in a respectable e-reader, like a vivid display, reactive and...

The latest basic Kindle offers more of the same
Very portable ; Comfortable to hold one-handed ; Great for reading manga ; Decent battery life for a smaller device
Pricier than the previous model ; Not enough storage for large files ; Slow download speed ; No dust or water protection
The Kindle (2024) is virtually identical to the 2022 version, save for a new matcha color option and a $10 price bump. While it remains a solid entry-level e-reader for budget-conscious users, the lack of innovation paired with a higher price tag fails...

The standard Kindle is still a winner
Simple design is comfortable to use, Great battery life, Solid display
It's on the small side, Slower than the fancier models

It's quite demure
Still a very compact Kindle that checks off the basics ; Brighter screen with higher-contrast ; Matcha color is excellent
No major upgrades compared to the last generation
If you’re okay without a bigger display with adjustable warmth, or a longer runtime, the new Kindle remains a solid core e-reading experience from Amazon, and with better brightness and zippier page turns, it should cement that standing.
