Lenovo Yoga 2 (11-inch) review

Light, quiet and affordable, the Yoga 2 11-inch has its promise snuffed out by a slow processor and hard drive.

An entry-level Yoga that's flexible but affordable

The Yoga 2 11 gets you Lenovo's excellent hybrid hinge but trades away some power and battery life for a low price.

The Yoga 2 11 is well-built for a budget laptop, and offers the same tablet and kiosk modes as its more-expensive cousins. Keyboard and touch pad are similarly impressive for the price.

The lower-power CPU doesn't offer fully mainstream performance, and the keyboard flexes under even light typing.

Lenovo's Yoga 2 11 combines the popular Yoga hybrid design with an affordable 11-inch ultraportable for a system that's budget-feeling but sturdy, and one of the best of a new breed of low-cost hybrids.

Lenovo Yoga 2 11-inch (59401972)

Like the recent 13-inch Yoga 2, this version keeps the 360-degree fold-back hinge from previous-gen Yogas, but cuts some of the higher-end features, such as better-than-HD displays or ultra-thin designs. At the entry level prices we're looking at, the...

Lenovo Yoga 2 11 review: A small laptop with tablet potential

This touchscreen notebook can play tablet dress-up, but Lenovo made a number of compromises to reach its budget price tag.

Thin and light for a laptop ; Attractively priced ; Useful tent and stand modes

Short battery life for a tablet ; Awkwardly thick and heavy in tablet mode ; Very flexy keyboard

Lenovo made a lot of compromises to hit this price poing, and did little to advance the hybrid concept. Still, the Yoga 2 11 has a good price-to-performance ratio.

Lenovo Yoga 2 11

The Lenovo Yoga 2 11 is an inexpensive evolution of the convertible hybrid laptop. Its $500 purchase price is a sweet spot for consumers, but there are even less expensive choices from other PC makers.

Light chassis. Good battery life. Comfortable keyboard. Lid folds for Tablet, Stand, and Tent modes.

Few I/O ports. Micro-HDMI port requires adapter. Motion control is still gimmicky. Small auxiliary keys and touchpad.

If you've been eyeing one of the ultrabook-class Lenovo Yoga laptops, but don't need ultrabook power (and its premium pricing), the Lenovo Yoga 2 11 is a good option. However, for almost $100 less, the HP Pavilion x360 offers the same internals in a...

Review Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 11 Convertible

The Atom Renaissance. Windows RT is history – the new entry-level version of the Yoga-series uses Intel's Bay Trail and a full version of Windows 8.1 64-bit. More usage scenarios and more performance also result in a significant drop of the battery...

Numerous usage scenarios, Sturdy case, High mobility, Firm touchpad buttons, Bright IPS panel, Sufficient application performance, Passive cooling, You get a surprisingly high-quality and versatile device with the inexpensive Yoga 2 11, which can be...

Meager port variety, Bouncy keyboard, Low display resolution, Low graphics performance, No SSD, An SSD would improve the system performance of the IdeaPad significantly. We also think a higher display resolution would be nice

Lenovo Yoga 2 11 review – the affordable 2-in-1 laptop

The 11 inch Lenovo Yoga 2 is one of the most interesting affordable 2-in-1s available right now. It sports the convertible form factor and a sleek and solid body, an IPS touchscreen and a fanless Intel platform able to handle everyday activities well...

looks good and feels strong, 2-in-1 form factor, good IPS screen, fairly capable hardware platform, fanless, decent keyboard and trackpad

slow HDD on this version, short battery life, annoying sharp rim around the palm-rest, limited connectivity (ports), shallow keyboard, rather slow Wi-Fi

With that in mind, we could conclude that Lenovo did a decent job with this Yoga, although there are a few things they could have done differently.
