Samsung TabPro S review

The TabPro S is a great Windows tablet, but a poor Windows 2-in-1 PC.

The issue with the TabPro S is one that’s easily boiled down to a simple point. Samsung designed a mobile device, and then installed Windows on it. From the hard drive performance, to the peripheral attachments, to the awkward display, the Galaxy would...

Samsung's Galaxy TabPro S is more than just a Surface knockoff

The Galaxy TabPro S is the latest Surface Pro competitor: a tablet with a click-in keyboard that's powerful enough to potentially replace a laptop. As a first-generation product, it excels in tablet mode, offering both a thin design and long battery...

Exceptionally thin and light ; Longer battery life versus its competitors ; First device in its class with a Super AMOLED screen ; Touchpad on the keyboard cover works well

Included keyboard is cramped ; Screen angle isn't adjustable when the tablet is docked ; Performance is fine for everyday use, but occasionally sluggish ; Pen not available at launch

I don't know that the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is necessarily better than the Surface Pro 4: It isn't offered in any comparably powerful configurations, the keyboard isn't as easy to type on, the screen angle isn't adjustable when propped up, and the...

The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is the best Windows tablet deal in the, well, galaxy.

By including a keyboard cover and AMOLED display, the TabPro S offers more for less than the Microsoft Surface line, making it a strong alternative to the Surface Pro.

Samsung wisely includes a keyboard cover in the box. Battery life is excellent, and the AMOLED display is better than the screens in much more expensive systems.

The single configuration is stuck with a sluggish Core M processor, and the keyboard cover allows only two screen angles, neither of which may be right for you.

Samsung builds a lot of value into the Galaxy TabPro S, including a keyboard cover and advanced display in a very slim Windows tablet.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S review

You can't help but hear about tablets that are designed to replace your laptop. Microsoft and Apple have been pouring tons of effort and marketing into the Surface Pro and iPad Pro, two devices...

Sleek and portable design ; Compact keyboard case that works well ; Bright, sharp display

4GB of RAM is not enough ; Battery life not as good as advertised ; Single USB Type-C port can be limiting

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S review: This Surface Pro clone is drop-dead gorgeous

If technology were people, Samsung's Galaxy TabPro S would clearly be a super model: It's willowy thin, extremely lightweight, and has a jaw-dropping OLED screen.

Sumptuous OLED panel ; Thinnest 12-inch Windows tablet we've seen ; Fantastic battery life when playing movies

Keys feel loose ; No included USB Type A-to-USB Type C dongle ; Pen technology not yet available for testing

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S review

When it debuted in March 2016, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S packed more value into a Windows tablet for $899, £899 or AU$1,499 than any other contender. Fast-forward to November 2016 and it looks just as good.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S

Samsung aims squarely at the Microsoft Surface Pro with its Galaxy TabPro S, a super-slim, eye-catching 12-inch Windows 10 tablet. But its performance and features don't quite justify the price.

Slim and lightweight. Polished metal and glass design. Colorful Super AMOLED screen. Best-in-class battery life. Bundled keyboard cover.

Intel Core m3 processor can't match the performance Core m7 and Core i5 CPUs in competing systems. One port, and it's USB-C with no Thunderbolt compatibility. No bundled USB-C adapter. Lacks a stylus and expansion slots.

Conclusions The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is a thin and stylish slate tablet, with a vivid Super AMOLED screen (the first we've seen on a Windows tablet) and top-notch battery life. Like the HP Spectre x2, it comes with a keyboard, but lacks the HP...

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S W700N Tablet 2-in-1 Review

Super AMOLED style. The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is a smart 12-inch tablet that comes with a usable keyboard good battery life and an impressive screen.

stylish, compact design ; good keyboard included ; fast SSD ; good cameras ; impressive screen ; great battery life

screen can be a power drain at times ; one USB-C port for data and charging ; some CPU throttling under heavy load

The AMOLED screen on the Galaxy TabPro S is the key feature here. It's bright and punchy and if you're careful you can get impressive efficiency from it. Style plays a big role too. Don't ignore the fact that there's only a single charge/data port on...
