AirTV 2 review: Antenna TV and Sling TV merge, with mixed results

The AirTV 2 adds over-the-air channels to Sling TV, but the new hardware fails to fix some old problems.

Cheap whole-home DVR with no subscription fees ; Sling TV integration is pretty neat ; Supports out-of-home streaming (though it's one stream only)

Can't search for upcoming over-the-air programs ; DVR lacks ad-skipping and granular recording options ; No 60 frames-per-second or surround sound support

Despite those issues, AirTV 2 has a couple of saving graces.

AirTV 2 review

The AirTV 2 is sleeker and emits less heat than the original AirTV, but the setup and software leave a lot to be desired.

OTA Channels on the go Refined design...

Difficult-to-use software But not a huge upgrade

AirTV 2 continues to provide a good value for local broadcast channels with no monthly fee however the software needs an overhaul and the setup can be overly complicated and too difficult for some folks.
