Hands on: Panasonic Viera TH-P50VT20a 3D plasma television

We recently had the opportunity to spend some time with the Panasonic Viera TH-P50VT20a, a 50in 3D plasma TV. We won't be able to render a final verdi...

3D adds new depth to many genres (if you'll pardon the pun)

Panasonic's 3D glasses won't be cheap

We're looking forward to the chance to spend some quality time with the Panasonic Viera TH-P50VT20a -- a 3D-capable plasma TV -- when we get it into our Test Centre. For now here are our impressions based on a demonstration staged by Panasonic.

Review: VIERA P50VT20A TV

Plasma is my favourite TV technology and the VIERA P50VT20A from Panasonic is up there with the best.

great screen, easy set up, no dodgy picture issues

would be nice to have some more ports, better in-built speakers, and a bit more swivel on the stand

It was hard to find something negative about it. Maybe a couple more USB ports and extra HDMI wouldn’t hurt and the in-built speakers are certainly not something that I would brag about. At just under 28kg, it's not the lightest nor the heaviest...

Treat for movie lovers..!

After reading a lot and also talking to sales reps at Good Guys, HN and Dick Smith, I decided to buy 50' Panasonic plasma tv instead of 50' LED LCD. Very happy to say, it was a good decision. Fantastic black, no blurs and such a fine print. Watching 3D...

Outstanding TV. No problems, still love picture quality.

We've had this TV nearly 3 years now and it continues to perform flawlessly. Colours, blacks and whites are all displayed better than LED currently available. Bluray just outstanding, even old converted movies like Star Wars and Star Trek. Only...

How to confuse a Panasonic Top of the Line TV for a Lemon

Warning. Do not buy this tv unless you want to experience bad customer service from Panasonic. We bought our television after much research over several months and foolishly believed Panasonic televisions were a good, reliable company that made good...

It is faulty. Expensive. The ACCC says for the price we paid, it should last at least 8-10 years. Poor service from Panasonic.

Big, Beautiful and Brilliant

After a lot of internet research and going to all the tv retailers I chose the Panasonic Viera TH-P50VT20A. I've owned this tv for a couple of years now and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Originally I wanted a Pioneer Kuro but when I heard...

The picture quality is brilliant!

Blissfully Brilliant Bright and Bold TV!

I am most impressed the in clear and crisp quality in both 2D and 3D watching! I like the idea that you don't need to purchase expensive 3D dvd's! Can you believe that there is an option to watch absolutely ANYTHING in 3D? It can be something you've...

Ability to connect to the internet; Can watch a standard 2D in 3D; Crisp Quality

Very expensive up front cost; Poor warranty for a very costly item(paid extra to have an extended warranty); The cost per 3D glasses is expensive.
