Hitachi 42PD960DTA

The 42 inch Hitachi 42PD960DTA uses a different display technology than conventional plasma panels to achieve a native resolution of 1024 x 1080. Whil...

Built-in HD TV Tuner, Excellent SD performance, Good Connection options

Pixilation and noise on all image modes, sub-par PC mode

The 42PD960DTA is a good all round mid-range television but has its problems across all modes and is far from brilliant.

Hitachi 42D9700 review

Masterful pictures in standard and high definition modes

Good looks ; Excellent pictures

Motion issues ; Occasional problems with colour tone

ALiS technology is more than just a gimmick, and the proof is in the 42D9700's excellent pictures

Rubbish

This is not an original hitachi anymore, it a rubbish from china, beware if purchasing product, if the distributor is tempo australia, most likely you are purchasing a rubbish with non-existence customer service. Images are blurry, sounds are shocking,...

No problems at all. Have moved house 3 times with it. It outlasted a DVD player and my friend's samsung plasma which was bought at the same time. Brilliant tv. One of the best we have owned. Currently running it with a Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-XW450...

Good

Overall a good set with good picture for its resolution. Great with xbox360 through component. Reliable. Was originally noisy at low volumes until the service guy came out and removed a rear bracket that was vibrating.

Had it for 2 years no problems after first repair. Good picture but I use my amp for the sound but the sound is good and loud from the set.

Only 1 HDMI. Was hearing a hum at low noise until a service guy came out and removed a rear metal brace bracket.

Excellent

Still despite my whining, hands down, the best TV I ever bought and beats every TV I have seen so far. I have seen brand new 50inch flat LCD/Plasmas go for half of what I paid for mine, but I wouldn't trade up if I was paid the difference. To me it's...

After 4 years still beats any LCD or Plasma I have seen offered today in quality and features. (Every type of video hook up, HDMI, USB, SD Card) The stock speakers make it so I hardly bother with my external surround sound system and the motorized...

Older it gets the more you need to take heat radiation into consideration on where you put it; burn-in starts becoming an issue (Sleep timer, screen refresher, adjust picture settings); depreciation value (Bought it for $3000.00 - price after store in...

Possibly the best tv ever made. I strongly reccomend this to any person looking for a sturdy, high-quality tv. Also, you can rest assured that it is good because it is not a model made in the United States, but in Japan, which makes the best of...

PAL, SECAM, and NTSC makes it the perfect TV for ANY region; 1080i makes it the best universal-HDTV anywhere; amazing picture quality

because it is plasma, moving can present a challenge because it cannot be tipped or tilted

Have had mine for 3 years with no problems.Might not be 1080 picture quality but comes very close.Sound is crystal clear as though it's coming through a surrond system.

Great picture & sound. Can plug in SD card or camera to view pictures.

OK

Overall its performance is above average and comparing it with its competitors on the market this one is more satisfactory.

With its 42" Screen which projects clear picture and has an impressive high definition display plus with its stylish design it will surely get something out of you to stay watching with it!!

Fair Sound Quality need improvements. and it is too expensive for its capabilities and quality.
