Hitachi jumps aboard the 'big LCD TV' bandwagon for the first time. See how it fares with this 42-incher.

Aesthetically, the L42VP01 is nothing to write home about. It's just a pretty straightforward black rectangle. At least it's not unnecessarily ostentatious, we guess. And in a move we'd love more manufacturers to follow, it ships with both desktop...

I swopped it for a SAMSUNG due to the dynamic contrast rate quoted for the Hitachi which was misleading 10000:1 but effectively only 1500:1 contrast- the Samsung spec was alot better (7000:1)and not disappointed but buy an HD DVD Player or BluRay to...
