Hands on: HTC Vive Flow review

Portability over power

Incredibly light and comfortable ; Portable size

Mediocre performance ; Expensive for what it is

HTC Vive Flow review

HTC's focus in recent years has been to mainly flex its VR skills for the enterprise and business worlds. Now it looks like it's ready to dip its toes

Sharp, good quality VR feel ; GooLight and comfortable to weard stuff 2 ; Makes a good portable cinema ; Good speaker performance

Not great smartphone controls ; Feels expensive for what it is ; UI doesn’t feel particularly slick

The Vive Flow delivers on offering good VR from a light and more portable design. The middling software and need for a battery pack, together with the fact you still probably wouldn’t want to wear this outside of your home is still a stumbling block to...

HTC Vive Flow - VR meets sunglasses (review) - GadgetGuy

HTC is hoping that the Vive Flow will find a new market in VR with a lightweight, portable design. So how does it fare?

Lightweight sunglasses design ; Built-in diopter means you won't need to worry about wearing prescription glasses ; Makes a decent portable cinema

Underpowered VR experience ; Cumbersome input scheme ; Limited use cases ; High price tag ; Requires external powerbank ; Displays have a smaller sweet spot than other VR headsets

The Vive Flow needs to do more to justify its lofty price tag of $749.
