I bought this for my son's MacBook Pro, so that he may plug in an HDMI cord from his tv and watch things from his computer to the tv. It works great! My son doesn't have cable tv in his room, but now with this device he can watch Netflex or Time warner...

Does not work with a MAC book pro. At a $1.49 one should not expect it to work.

I got this, along with a HDMI cable, for my daughter to be able to hook up her computer to a TV so she could watch Netflix. We tested it at home before she went back to college. Worked great.
