LG 37LP1D

The LG 37LP1D 37-inch LCD HDTV delivers good image quality overall, but some design choices hold it back.

Integrated media card readers. Excellent image detail. Good display uniformity. Attractive design.

Restrictive image controls. Poor OTA tuner sensitivity.

With a striking design and a raft of desirable features, the 37LP1D is a tempting proposition, but videophiles need not apply.

Striking design ; Built-in HD tuner ; Plentiful connectivity options including HDMI ; Screen swivels which is nice for wide, open plan rooms ; XStudio memory card reader great for viewing JPEGs and listening to MP3 files

Picture quality, particularly black levels won't satisfy video purists
