LG 55LH85 LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The 55LH85 is a 1080p LCD TV from LG that incorporates a wireless transmission system from a separate media box, utilizing the same media box as the higher-end LG 55LHX. It is thus capable of receiving a full HD 1080p signal at ranges up to 30 feet. It...

For people who are intrigued by the wireless media box technology and aren't very interested in increased refresh rates or LED backlighting (or paying the premium these features will likely cost), the LG 55LH85 is a strong television. It is very...

LG 47LH85 Review – 47-inch LCD HDTV

LG 47LH85 47-inch LCD TV. LG has introduced the LH85 Series of LCD's for 2009 and the new 47LH85 is looking like it will be one of LG's premiere TV's. With the new LG 47LH85, the electronic conglomerate has introduced the wireless feature. No more...

LG 55LH85 Review – 55-inch LCD HDTV

LG 55LH85 55 inch LCD TV. The new LG 55LH85 is a part of the recently launched LH85 series of LCD models. With wireless capability and a separate media box, LG has tried to design this series as a very high end LCD line. Unlike its other popular BD...

Apart from the wireless capability and separate media box technology, the new LG 55LH85 features many of LG’s core technologies, such as the Intelligent Sensor or Easy UI Menu System. Like all other LG LCD models, the new 55” LH85 Series LCD uses...

Junk

I will never buy another LG television after experiencing their unwillingness to work with a customer. The fact that they stop manufacturing or servicing a part that is less than 2 years old is ridiculous.

Good picture

Wireless media box fried (audibly) after 2 years. Without the media box, the TV has one HDMI input - useless if you want to watch anything but one device (which now requires HDMI). Don't think about buying a replacement. The ASW1000 unit is no longer...

Great TV, Questionable Manufacturer

The audio quality from the internal speakers is OK but not great. It is as good as you can reasonably expect. If you want to upgrade the sound, you will have to use something that has an optical SP/DIF input because the only audio output from this set...

From an earlier post you will see I ordered this set and never could take delivery from AIT. I tried again and success ; The TV is great. Picture quality is very good. Viewing angle is unbelievable! One criticism of LCDs has been a narrow viewing angle...

The wireless connection does take a few seconds (maybe 10-20 seconds) to initialize but it usually takes that long to get comfortable on the couch -- it has not been a problem ; The most serious concern I have is with the way LG electronics is treating...

LED hype

Great bang for the buck. Wireless is awesome. The picture is eXcellent. The leds for $500 more are backlit leds and not true led. (oled) save your money and get the extended warranty for years or worry free viewing

Wireless delays startup a few seconds

AIT Shipping

If you want this TV and have any alternative to AIT for shipping, I suggest you use the alternative. This company is terrible.

I think I would have really liked this TV. The poor review is not because of the TV

This TV was to have been a Christmas present but AIT did not deliver it. Almost all of the tracking information they give is incomprehensible except for one item: delivery date. That day came and went and no word from AIT. I called and they promised...

Great Tv

I was originally unsure of this technology and it really doesn't look like it caught on, but I am please with my purchase.

I've had it for a year and have been please with it. I recently mounted it across the room and the wireless is fantastic because there are no wires

I wish it was bigger

SWEET!

I purchased the 47 inch wireless LG but see they must not offer that anymore but assume this tv is the same other then the size. I stole that TV for $879 with the promotions. Enjoy.

Removed from box. Plugged it in,set it up in minutes. Picture looks great. HD is wonderful even though limited amount of channels but the dvd and Blu Ray are excellent!! LG is a great brand to go with!! No issues with the wireless at all

None. Some have said there were issues with shipping regarding box and mine was fine except for a corner that had been crunched. T.V. was fine. LG may need to modify the one corner due to no support in this corner of box

Very Happy

I was initially worried about the quality and ease of use with the wireless media box, but so far so good. Works well and quality is as good as a direct connection.

Very nice picture quality and a lot of inputs into the media box. I love the USB interface to play Divx and MP3s directly, it works very well. The wireless feature works very well and I have no complaints. The price on this set was too good to pass up

To get the best picture quality, it took some time in the settings. It helps to turn off some of the "picture enhancement" options off
