LG LH90 review: LG LH90

LG LH90

Excellent black-level performance and shadow detail; accurate color, thanks to extensive picture adjustments; matte screen handles bright lighting well; plenty of connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input.

Relatively expensive; poor off-angle performance; some blooming; does not separate antiblur and dejudder processing; benefits of 240Hz difficult to discern; no interactive features; no S-Video inputs.

Deep black levels and accurate color help propel the LED-backlit LG LH90 series into the front row of the LCD picture quality class.

LG 55LH90 LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The LG 55LH90 is a 55-inch LCD television with an LED backlight display that will be available during the second Quarter of 2009. The HDTV features a bolstered 240Hz refresh rate (up from 120Hz on the 2008 models), which should result in improved...

The LG 55LH90 is television with some intriguing elements. Its 240Hz refresh rate is something that will pique the interest of action-film lovers and sports aficionados. Based on our limited access watching footage on the TV, its motion appeared smooth...

LG 47LH90 LCD HDTV

LG 55LH90 LED HDTV Reviewed

LG has thrown its hat into the LED ring with this 55-inch model. The TV uses a full-array LED backlight system with local dimming for better black-level performance, and it also boasts THX certification and TruMotion 240Hz technology. The primary...

The TruMotion technology is successful at reducing motion blur, but itssuccess in eliminating film judder is debatable. I'm personally not afan of motion interpolation, and LG's implementation is no exception, although I will admit that the low...

This proved to be an interesting review. Two of the 55LH90's big-ticketfeatures - the THX mode and TruMotion 240Hz - didn't exactly wow me. Irecommend calibration over the THX mode, and I would only use TruMotionwith sports or video game content. Yet...

LG 47LH90 LCD HDTV

As you no doubt know by now, LCD HDTVs command the lion's share of the flat-panel market, outpacing plasma by a wide margin. This is due, at least in part, to the fact that LCDs are generally brighter than plasmas, which draws more attention on the...

One particularly rare and geeky feature that the 47LH90 offers is 10-point gray-scale calibration. Most TVs include two-point calibration, which lets a trained technician adjust the gray scale at high and low brightness levels. Normally this is...

LG 55LH90 Review – 55-inch LCD HDTV

The LG 55LH90, part of the LH90 Series, has quite a few similar features as the LHX Series. However, unlike the LHX Series, this LCD model has no separate set top box for its wireless capability feature.

No problems

I have had this 5 years and haven't had any problems since I reset a pixel on the screen when it was new

I wish it had 240HZ on the HDMI ports like I had foolishly expected. It would be nice if it were to play more modern formats

Happy Happy Happy

If I could I'd buy another but the price is up $400 and now it looks like it is out of stock.

Picture is amazing. Sound is better than my old console tv. I was nervous about the shipping but it arrive in one piece with no damage. The surface of the screen in matte, I have a windows close by that allows a lot of direct light on the tv and it is...

I have it on a stand and not a mount, while it has not fallen and i don't think it will. It does seem a little flimsy. Also I have those TV Ears for when mom is over so she can hear but there is no audio out on the tv thus i had it connect them to the...
