NEC is heading in the right direction price-wise with its new plasma, the PXT-42SVI, which offers decent if uninspiring specs.

Had "image retention" issues with this unit. Took it all the way to the head manager at NEC and the ACCC, no refund, simply replaced the faulty unit with another faulty unit.

Picture had gone sparkly after 6 months and now after 12 months the picture is so bad its distracting.

Decent sound

Sparkly picture, sound changes volume when changing channels ; HDMi input does not work for dvd players

Had the TV for just over 12 months, but only out of box for 6. Picture and sound are good but the picture blew.

Good picture and sound. Controller is easy to use

Only lasted 6months with approx 4 hrs usage per day. If you want this don't forget the extended warranty
