I did about two months of research before finally settling on buying on this TV and I am confident that I got a steal for the price. I recommend this TV to anyone who is tight on cash but wants a very decent starter TV.

Great Picture, Very Poor Warranty

 

Too big for a boat anchor!

The true test of a product is how good the warranty support is. Main board went out after 7 months. I've had so many "stories" from support, I'm sure one of them is true. Bottom line: TV down for a month and no resolution to warranty repair in sight....

If you are thinking about HDTV this is a great way to start. But do spend some time reading about HDTV setup before you buy.

I've been really enjoying this TV since it arrived (shipped in great condition BTW). I use it mostly with MythTV for over-the-air HDTV and the quality there is excellent. For this I use DVI to HDMI connector, setting the TV up to "1 to 1" pixels and...

As mentioned the remote and on-screen menus are not great, but I use a Logitech Harmony remote anyway ; For those with more gear, lack of inputs might be a problem

Sweet LCD

 

I purchased this TV to replace my 54" Samsung rear projection 1080i TV. I am sad to see it go but considering I paid less than half as much for this LCD TV makes it worth it.
