Panasonic TC-P46G10

Panasonic's 46-inch TC-P46G10 may suck down more juice than 4 100-watt bulbs, but this high-performance plasma HDTV brings top-notch picture quality and Web features at an affordable price.

Excellent black level performance. Very high contrast ratio. Color and contrast maintained up to a 170-degree viewing angle. Good audio quality. Auto-shut-off option when TV is idle. Supports HDMI-CEC.

Poor energy efficiency when compared with LCD models. 3 HDMI ports (one is side-mounted). Only Channel and Volume controls are backlit on remote.

Review of Panasonic TC-P46G10 Plasma Television

Panasonic is one of the few manufacturers still dedicated to making plasma televisions , but I believe it's too early to sound a death knell for the technology. The Panasonic TC-P46G10 proves that plasma is still a winner with a beautiful, film-like...

Smooth film-like images and nice, deep black levels, THX certified display, 600Hz refresh rate to prevent motion blur, Direct access to YouTube, Amazon Video on Demand and other Web-based content, On board photo viewer, Easy setup

Stock sound sometimes distorts, Viera Cast Internet content is somewhat limited, If more manufacturer’s abandon plasma, you could be left with old technology within a few years

Panasonic TC-P46G10 Plasma HDTV Reviewed

If you are looking for THX certification in a mid-line model television, this model will meet your needs. Adrienne Maxwell said it "boasts an impressive array of performance specs and features for the price" and features the VIERA CAST Web platform...

I didn't review last year's PZ800 Series, the first to include a 48Hzoption for 24p Blu-ray content. However, I read a lot of professionaland consumer reviews expressing annoyance at the obvious flickercreated in this mode. Unfortunately, the problem...

With the $1,700 TC-P46G10, Panasonic may have negated the need to ask"Is THX certification worth the extra money?", but I'm going to answerthe question anyhow: yes, it is. This plasma HDTV offers a beautiful,theater-worthy picture with minimal set-up...

Panasonic TC-P46G10

Prices for TC-P46G10 is priced well at around $1200. A similar quality LCD TV such as the LG47LH55 will cost $1400 while a Sony KDL-46XBR9 will run you $1900 and a Samsung LN-46B650 $1600. So compared with similar picture quality LCD TVs the TC-P46G10...

Blacks can appear dark gray and hazy with 480i signals input. The processing chip sets in Panasonic TVs have been quite good for a long time but I feel like the company has stagnated here for some time and are not progressing any further in this area

Panasonic TC-P46G10 Review

As well as its little brother Panasonic TC-P42G10, the 46 inch TC-P46G10 is considered to be the best plasma TV in its size category. Being gifted with the same great features available for the entire G10 series - amazing black levels and THX...

Has the same exceptional black levels as Panasonic V10 models ; THX mode provides good colors out of the box ; Viera Cast and Amazon Video on Demand ; Very good primary color gamut

Colors are not perfect. Equivalent Samsung models have more accurate colors ; Not for those with a tight budget ; 1080p/24 content unwatchable using the 48Hz mode

It is not a wrong thing to say that, in terms of performance, TC-P46G10 from Panasonic is close to the very top of the line of plasma TVs released this year. One cannot complain about the impeccable black levels and shadow detail, even though color...
