Panasonic TC-LDT50 review: Panasonic TC-LDT50

Panasonic TC-LDT50

The ; performs moderately well in 3D with less crosstalk than some rivals. The onboard wireless and full complement of video services will please Smart TV fans. The thin bezel and metallic finish is distinctive if a bit retro.

This TV's picture quality is below average, especially considering the high price. Black levels are some of the lightest we've ever seen and shadow detail is washed out. Colors are inaccurate and undersaturated, the screen reflects too much ambient...

Panasonic's DT50 series of LED TVs is among the worst we've seen this year, and can't hold a candle to the company's plasmas.

Panasonic TC-L55DT50

The Panasonic DT50 series is a beautifully designed, full-featured 3D LED HDTV, but if you're willing to compromise on looks, you can get a screen that works just as well for less money.

Beautiful metal-and-glass design. An abundance of online features. Accurate colors. Built-in Wi-Fi. Powerful audio.

Doesn't get quite as dark as similarly equipped HDTVs. 3D glasses not included.

Sure, there are more impressive HDTVs than the $1,900 Panasonic TC-L47DT50. The LG 55LM6700 , for one, offers up glasses-included passive 3D and a cool motion-controlled remote, or there's the Sharp Elite Pro-60X5FD with its best-in-class picture, but...

Good HDTVs aren't always good-looking. You can have a bright and colorful screen capable of reaching inky blacks while not being visually stunning in its design. As more features become available in less-expensive HDTVs, it's design flourishes that...

"Beautiful TV with excellent picture"

Bought this 47" TV today, 1- for the ultra thin frame to fit an ultra modern white/steel kitchen, nothing else comes close. All others are heavy old fashion thicker black frames. 2- Best picture quality comparison in store against all other TVs. 3-...

Ultra thin silver frame.

No cons I see

"Very good design but black level is really failed."

If you have DVB-C or DVB-S channels at home - you can buy it for sure - picture quality is on good level in most cases.

Excellent, esthetically pure design. Good picture quality on movies with lots of dynamic scenes - so smoothly as user can expect. Digital era ready device - equipped with all possible and actual interfaces and capabilities. Best 3D tech on market.

Don't even try to watch movies via analogue tuner - picture is noisy, just buy old TV for that. This device only for digitally received content - use DVB or any digital interface - picture looks better in this case. Poor contrast in dark movies.

"Best LED picture I've seen"

I went out to buy a new LED TV. I expected to buy a Samsung, but was prepared to be talked into a Sony. I went to four stores and ended up with the Panasonic DT50 - 47 inch. When I saw the picture, I was wowed. The demo was sourced from a BluRay...

Picture quality

Better compatibility with Mac OS X. However, Apple TV fills the gaps.
