Can Panasonic's best LED compete with its plasmas?

The Panasonic TC-LWT50 series is Panasonic's most expensive LED TV for 2012. We'll see if it packs a punch compared with those excellent plasma models.

The ; showed the best off-angle performance of any LCD I've tested, and its screen was quite uniform. Its 3D performance was good with little crosstalk. The styling is sleek with an ultrathin frame and unique horseshoe stand. Plenty of useful features...

The high-priced WT50 has a sub-par 2D picture, reproducing a lighter shade of black than many cheaper LEDs. Panasonic inexplicably saddled the best default picture mode with compulsory smoothing, and the other modes have color accuracy issues. The TV...

Class-leading quality from off-angle can't excuse the expensive Panasonic TC-LWT50's disappointing picture when seen from the sweet spot.

Panasonic Viera TC-L55WT50

The Panasonic Viera TC-L55WT50 is Panasonic's flagship LCD for 2012. While its price point and release date weren't given out, we did find out a lot about the software package users can expect. While the new system is definitely a step up from the old...

Some impressive features, like built-in wifi and 3D capability ; All new hardware and software offer an interesting aesthetic and increased functionality

Some of the new software ran a bit slowly ; Even with the additional remote, typing in the browser felt a bit clunky

The TC-L55WT50 looks like a pretty solid TV. Its new software package seems interesting, it has built-in wifi, is 3D capable, and has a different aesthetic. The software seemed a bit sluggish, but hopefully it’ll be a bit faster by the time the final...

Panasonic Viera TC-L55 WT50: Overpriced for its Features

A feature rich 3D LED with active shutter progressive 3D, which can be viewed with battery powered 3D glasses. The 55-inch display supports full HD with a native resolution of 1920x1080p. The frames per sec can be altered from 60 to 240. This makes...

A 3D TV with great clarity and interesting VIERA tools, yet commands a very high price tag in comparison to Sony Bravia KDL925 which costs less than 2lakhs.
