Panasonic TC-P42C2 Review

In case you are not among the people to care about 3D capabilities, wireless options, and superior resolution, you may have just found the best plasma TV to suit your taste. Panasonic TC-P42C2 is great for people looking for a non-frills plasma TV that...

Decent blacks, Affordable price, Not so bad connectivity for the price

Unimpressive design, Subpar standard definition performance, Inferior 1080p/24 performance

Panasonic TC-P42C2 Review – 42-inch Plasma HDTV

This is an entry-level HDTV from Panasonic which has only the basic technology, and is available without the much talked about 3D and Viera Cast features. The salient features of this TV happen to be the 2,000,000:1 native contrast ratio, multiple...

The energy consumption of this TV is pretty low. It complies with the Energy Star 4.0 specifications which is quite stringent. Besides the NeoPDP panel also helps in providing optimum brightness while conserving energy. With all the basic features and...

Broken

this is not a quality product, i would recomend the 43" samsung 720 TV, i found it for 470$, a much nicer looking TV and 1 inch larger for only 20$ extra.

Showed up in a thin cardbord box, not the safe panasonic box i expected. Was already on its stand as if it was on display at some point and had been taken off the shelf and then sent off. because of the bad packaging i discoverd a large dent in the...

Nice TV for the price

I bought it from my brother, new in the box. I first had the connections incorrectly so the screen sizes for HD (through Comcast cable) wasn't full screen. My brother corrected the connections shortly after that and the screen has been with brilliant...

Has worked for over 2 years for me. No problems

Great TV!

I have it connected to a matching Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray player and an Acer Aspire Revo nettop PC. The Revo has HDMI output and by connecting it to my network, allows me to watch any show I want over the internet, so I completly stopped paying for...

Love everything about it! Picture and sound are great, plenty of inputs, does everything I could want it to do. 600Hz subfield processing makes everthing super sharp. As a film buff, I love black and white movies and this TV's ability to go from black...

Only 720p when it would be nice to have 1080p. Tunner is not very good at picking up all the broadcast HD channels that exist in my area

THE BEST FOR LESS

This is the perfect television for a small living room or a bedroom. My previous tv was a $3000 46" 1080P. I sit close to the screen and the 720P resolution is great.

PRICE VS PERFORMANCE ; A GREAT VALUE IN HDTV ; PANASONIC IS NUMBER ONE IN PLASMA TV'S ; NO ISSUES! (BURN IN ETC) ; THE BEST TV FOR THE LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY

DOA

I was eager to see if burn in would be an issue, Panasonic and Pioneer seem to have eliminated burn in as a problem. Mine didn't survive. Hopefully yours will.. This just wasn't meant to be.

Price, Value ; Has digital and optical audio ports built in ; 2 HDMI ; New egg took my call and put in a claim. Always nice and friendly

No VGA, workaround is to use (pc to tv) DVI to hdmi adapter cable. It was dead so couldn't comment on how it looked or if they were over-scanning cutoff/jagged edges , clear/blurry text. I'd imagine it would look stunning

So far so good

Quality of the picture is awesome. Our set-up is a little different than most because our TV is on a lazy susan swivel mechanism that allows us to view in either the bedroom or front room (it\'s a Jr. 1-Bed) -- with that being said, the noise level...

Love it!

We purchased this TV last weekend. We initially went into the store knowing a general idea of what we wanted, but not sure what we could get with our limited budget. We were very impressed with this TV in the store, and I'm glad to say that it has...
