Panasonic TC-PST60 series review

I've written TV reviews for more than 10 years, but I'm pretty sure this one is the most important. I'll cut to the chase: if you value picture quality, don't have money to burn, and don't game seriously enough to worry about input lag , you should buy...

The Panasonic TC-PST60 series has a reasonable price, incredibly good picture quality with exceedingly deep black levels, great shadow detail, accurate colors, solid bright-room performance, and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; it also...

Worse 3D quality than many competing TVs; not as suited to extremely bright rooms as some LCD models; consumes more power than LCD TVs; introduces significant input lag.

The midlevel price and outstanding quality of the Panasonic TC-PST60 series make it our strongest TV recommendation ever.

The blacks are just so good that color, contrast and resolution all benefit

This is my third Panasonic plasma and I can't believe that the OLED will have better blacks than this model.

Picture is awesome for routine TV reception and DVD viewing.

Audio is marginal...you'll want a soundbar to be happy. 3D only works well with the factory glasses.

Perfect TV

This TV is top notch in every way. As the other review says it's the best picture I've ever seen also. Just writing a quick review to say I tried to order 2 of them but could only get 1. Might be available in some places still, so if you find one...

Great tv for a solid price

Love the tv and the picture It is the best I have ever seen for this price. It is to bad that plasma is going away. They look so much better, especially when watching sports. My only beef is turning off the speakers if you are using a soundbar or a...

Excellent blacks Sharp picture Tons of custom options for the money

Turning off the internal speakers if you use a sound bar is a royal pain

CNet is right--an almost perfect TV

My wife and I are not gamers and I'm blind in one eye, so 3D is a useless capability for me. (And my wife doesn't care about it!) That pretty much eliminates all the reported "cons" for this TV as far as we are concerned. As long as the device displays...

Picture quality Sound quality better than expected Attractive, minimalist appearance Some useful apps Fantastic price/performance ratio

Remote control could be more user friendly Some functions hard to locate in menus Internet search function is difficult to use

Great TV for the price

The dreaded "Burn in" or "ghosting" or "picture retention": Let me start by saying this is my first plasma TV and I did a ton of research before buying it. I was terrified of the dreaded "burn in". I bought this TV for the bedroom and my wife has a...

Picture quality is amazing, blacks are deep 3D is OK, Remote is OK Extensive pro-level calibration settings Easy setup

Working around the apps and internet is sloppy with the remote The iPhone app needs work

"BURN IN SO BAD, IT MAY AS WELL HAVE CAUGHT FIRE!"

PANASONIC REFUSED TO POST THIS, THOUGH IT MET THEIR REVIEW CRITERIA! THEY ARE LIARS! THEY WON'T POST ANY REVIEWS THAT ARE NEGATIVE ON THEIR SITE. If they want to do that, it's their prerogative, but they ought not LIE and say that they'll post anything...

Awesome picture...after break-in

I have researched Panasonic TV's for over 5 months. Switching from GT50, to VT50, to eventually landing the ST60. I'm glad I did. If i were to rate this TV right out of the box, i would have given it 2 or 3 stars. I was a little dissapointed with the...

User interface is impressive and easy to navigate Great wide viewing angle Superb colors and black level Free 2 pair of 3D glasses included

Sound is average Remote is average

Stunning Quality!

I already own three Panasonic plasmas and really enjoy them. But this new 65" ST is mind blowing. The colors are very accurate, the contrast is so good and the black is really dark so good content has a lot of depth. Makes you more aware of the...

Amazing picture quality. Netflix runs smooth Superb colors and black level Extensive pro-level calibration settings Very thin bezel looks good

Remote button placement (accidentally pressed HOME button more than once which annoyingly brings up the TV's smart tv home menu)

"Outstanding picture but I have a quality problem"

I would have absolutely loved to give this a 5 star rating but product defect slows me down and uncertainty over Panasonic ability/willingness to fix problem concerns me.

Awesome picture. Great that it connects directly to Wifi. Good assortment of services on television but Pandora seems to be missing. Audio quality is pretty good given constraints.

It came with a 9 1/2 inch line running from the left edge toward the middle. Panasonic (India) is not making it simple to get the problem resolved. It took a month to get set and now I wonder how long to get either replacement or fix.
