Antiglare screen reduces reflections; produces deep blacks with excellent shadow detail; accurate initial color temperature; slick styling.

Some false contouring; inaccurate primary color of green; no PC input; no user-menu fine color-temperature adjustments.

Deep black levels and a new antiglare screen make the 50-inch TH-50PX77U one of the top choices among plasma HDTVs.

Panasonic Rocks

 

If your going to buy a 1080P Plasma with the 50" I read many reviews that say that you cannot take advantage of the 1080 Pixels in a 42" size.

I purchased this TV for $999.00 at another store with tthe Anti-Glare screen and I love it! The picture is tremendous even with a HD inside Antenna that I bought for $50.00 at Radio Shack ; I may not even get cable or satellite

None except I wanted the 50" 1080P buta cannot afford $2K plus

Amazing black levels, looks almost perfect right out of the box, superb handling of lower quality sources like SD Dish Network thru an SVideo input, anti-glare coating actually works and is very helpfull (I thought it was just a gimmick until I saw it)

Sound is not as good as the older 75U model with the larger speakers on the bottom... this model has a lower profile with side speakers and it sounds decent but not great

Absolute WOW!

 

If you are on the fence between this and something more expensive like pion%%r, I would go for this. Really, it is an awesome TV.

This TV is awesome. No complaints at all. Great for the money! Good sound, great hookups and 2 HDMI inputs which is great. I also use this as a home theater PC and it is great ; The blacks are excellent too. In a dark room when the screen goes black,...

None really. It would be nice to have an audio input so that I can run PC Sound through it and be able to control that with the remote (dont know if this TV can do that, but it might.)
