Good HDR pictures using the Dynamic preset ; Easy to use smart system ; Very low input lag

Weak audio ; Strange colour inconsistency with most presets ; Not very bright for a premium HDR LCD TV

The Panasonic TX-65EX750 requires a pretty non-standard set up to get the best out of it, but its new backlight technology is unique and effective. This is potentially catnip to AV fans looking for a good 65-inch TV for under £2000.

Stylish design with adjustable stand ; Enviably low image lag ; Great motion handling

Distinctly mid-range HDR performance ; Convoluted and complicated picture adjustments

Natural, balanced and consistent SDR images ; Great 1080p detail ; Excellent motion processing ; HDR is bright and colourful with the right settings

Some backlight clouding ; Images lack punch and dynamism compared to some rivals ; Could offer more subtlety and nuance ; Interface isn’t particularly slick

A good value 4K HDR offering from Panasonic, but you only need to spend a little more to get something really special
